is this apple announce or make up

logo look real
I think it would be all over the web if it were real, where did you find this?

logo redmondpie so i think redmondpie posted and someone shared on my facebook , but i dont see this pic on apple.com so who know is real or fake

Question for the T-Mobile iPhone users on this site: did the T-Mobile deals leak before they were officially announced? I am trying to determine if there are possible deals in the making because the iPhone 8 pricing is too much out of pocket. I would hope they have a deal of some sort even if I trade my iPhone SE towards it.

If the event is on the 12th September and not the 6th then the invites won't go out yet, in fact they might not go out for 2 weeks, Apple tends to send the invites 1 week before the iPhone event.

12th make more sense ------

Maybe the end of this week apple posted calendar on apple.com

God I can’t wait tell the announcement. I haven’t been this excited for a new iPhone in awhile.

I just saw that Mobile World Congress ( America’s) is set for Sepetember 12th, would apple schedule their keynote that day knowing that tech journalists may be at that event???? Makes me think event may be the 6th.

That is interesting and the location is interesting as well;

I look at the website, they have events every single day

Gurman even tweeted that he is looking forward to it in September 12th( Mobile World Congress), makes me think no event on the 12th. I think the 6th, pre orders that Friday , now they could push release date back a week for another week of production ramp up, so release could be 22nd. I could be wrong thou!!

I think it's going to be the Sept. 5/6. Looking at the previous years, there is a noticeable trend that seems to be taking place. Apple shifts things up every two years.

In 2012-2013, that both invites were sent right after Labor Day (Sept 3, Sept 4, respectively - both of which are Tuesdays). The announcement date was about a week later.

In 2014-2015, Apple changed this to right before the Labor Day weekend (Aug 28, Aug 27, respectively - both of which are Thursdays). The announcement date was a little less than two weeks later.

In 2016, Apple once again changed this to exactly one-week before labor day (Aug 29, which is a Monday), with an announcement date set for the following week.

Notice that trend there? It seems like Apple changes things up every TWO years. Of course it could all be random or Apple might change it up this year because it's the 10th anniversary, but speaking strictly based of that trend - we should expect an invite on Monday, for an event the following week (ie. Monday, Aug 28 = invite date; Sept 5/6 = announcement date).

Further, we also notice that the dates keep going back. 12 September 2012 > 10 September 2013 > 9 September 2014 > 9 September 2015 > 7 September 2016.

I'm putting my money on Sept. 6. Further the MWC date has been known for a few months now, so Apple must have been aware of it. Unless they don't give a **** ...

My phone (6s) died yesterday. I was going to spring for the 8 but now I'm pressed to make a decision. Should I just go for the 7 and be done with it and get on board on the next cycle or is there a scenario where I can get something cheap to hold me over for a (1-2?) month?

Look on Craigslist and get something cheap (be careful and check the phone to make sure it is unlocked and uses the same sim as your phone) until the 8 comes out. I fear i you get a 7 now, you will wish you had waited when the 8 comes out.

On second thought, I have a 5s with a cracked screen I can get fixed and use. Hmm.

NYT has an article out today that it’ll start at “approximately” $999. I thought 999/1099/1199 for the pricing tiers so it coincides with the article (potentially).

Apple Watch
Apple TV
iOS11
iPhone
HomePod

What i would like to know is will they have the new iPhone 8 in the Apple retail stores on release day ir will we have to order on line like last year

Probably online for the 8, maybe in-store for the 7S?

I think we'll see two events or hardware release waves:

September Event:

iPhone (7S, 7S+, 8/Pro, SE)
iPod Touch (Internal hardware update)
Apple Watch
Apple TV

iPad and iPad Pro won't see an update until next Spring/Summer, and it looks like the iPad Mini and Mac Mini may get cut, if not updated soon. The HomePod and iMac Pro were already announced, so we won't have another keynote for those. Software was already previewed in June, and I don't see another keynote focused on that, unless it relates exclusively to the newly unveiled hardware in September. All other hardware was either refreshed in the Spring or Summer, or was discontinued.
