Man, those 2014 mini's on the refurb store today are sure hanging around lots longer than when 2012's show up.
I'm guessing no more 2012 refurbs. If you didn't buy one already then Game Over.

IMO there will be a last batch. Today (Jan 8) is the last day for holiday returns. Folks who bought a 2012 Mini in Nov can return until today. Estimated couple weeks refurbishment turnaround and you should still see a few 2012 Minis until approximately February.
Good point.Apple has to keep a number held back for warranty exchanges, and so I believe the number that get sold directly affects the number that get held back...And since there seems to be a run on 2012 models, that sold number is probably still increasing.
Wow. That's been there for days. Absolutely no demand for the 2014 refurbs. That 1.4 2014 mini must be getting lonely sitting there in the refurb store all by itself.

It must feel like it's on the island of misfit toys.
I got pretty excited when I saw the "Mac mini" in black instead of gray, but upon clicking I learned the sad sad truth.
And then they're back...
And then they're gone...
Hah - I snagged one a few weeks back, but I always like to check what's available.

just got one i7 2.3 quadcore 256 ssd. hope im not disappointed its my first mac. what cables do I need my monitor has display port connection and audio system has three one of each colour orange green and black.
Ordered a lindy mini displayport to displayport cable not sure which audio one i want though to connect my creative labs sound system. The 2012 Mini has HDMI out and also comes with a HDMI to DVI connector.
Aside from that, you might have to buy a separate adaptor.

You need to know your monitor resolution.
If you use the HDMI output, you will be limited to 1920 x 1200 resolution, and you would need a HDMI to DisplayPort cable.
If you use the Thunderbolt/MiniDisplayPort output, you can enjoy higher resolutions, and you would need a simple MiniDisplayPort to DisplayPort cable (about $8 at Amazon).
