Promo code, svp?

I'm a student going to McGill University this fall, and I was hoping for a little promo code if anyone has any left! I plan on stepping up from this PowerBook G4 I've had for 4 years now (can you belive it?).

Thanks & Best Wishes!

Wasn't everyone new once?

As Lamina stated, there are a lot of newbies on this site who may hit and run. True, but alas, at some time, it was a first time (for all).
That being the case, I am a newbie with a promo code need.
The debt will be repaid when (and hopefully sooner, not later) Apple sends me a promo code. I will then share it with all of you.
Thanks from an aged newbie.:)

Yes newbie in need here as well.
Looking to get my first mac(MBP) and trying to save as much as possible.
It would be greatly appreciated.
It's not expected but worth a shot and the risk of annoying some.

Here's a tip for anyone who wants to get their own code...

Sign up for a .Mac trial and using that .Mac account in iTunes, purchase a track. You'll be sent a 'thank you' email with a code for $30 off a $300 or more purchase. Spend $1 to get $30... not a bad trade-off to me!

Do they work for the edu stores? Also seems that skimming through if you do it yourself it takes a little while for the code to come, is that true (or how long do u think it will take...?) If it takes a long time and someone has an extra one...can i have it? Thanks

It might take a day or so.

I got the coupon offer after buying an iTunes song for the first time with a newly registered .Mac e-mail address.

I just checked my archives. The coupon came six days after the song purchase.

So give it some time.

Six Days....

I called telesales and told them I wanted a discount and the guys said no problem. Offered me $50 off of a new macbook. Unfortunately it CANNOT be used with an Educational Discount (ED) nor CAN it be used with the Refurbs.

Can't win for losing....

So as it stands today here are the best choices:

Refurbished Mac with $100 mail in rebate for a printer
New Mac with a $50 coupon + $100 rebate for a printer
New Mac with an ED + $100 rebate for a printer + $200 rebate for an Ipod.

so having a itune/.mac account that uses a gmail address doesn't work? Because I've bought quite a few songs in the past and got nothing for it.

getting ready to buy a new mb!!

Hey everyone, I'm getting ready to purchase my first :apple: with the student discount:D I want to get the new mb and a few accessories for it. If anyone has a promo/coupon code, and doesn't mind giving it up, I would definitely use it and definitely appreciate it. Anything helps. Btw, does anyone know if you're limited to just one coupon code? Thanks for your help!

Now I hate to make this thread repetitious, but anyways, I would like to put in a kind request for a promotion code that I could use to save in the Apple online store.

Also, what are the ways to receive such promotional codes? One way as pointed out by a poster is to signup using a .mac account and purchase a song from iTunes.

I don't own a Macintosh machine (this purchase will be my first one!), which creates a issue for me to get a .mac account. Please do share any alternative ways to obtain the promo codes. Thanks a lot!

Two things, I'm gonna be buying a MBP soon and if someone could PM me some codes I'd appreciate it. I'll be buying it at the Education store. Also, I hear you can extend the warranty from one year to two without AppleCare using a CC. Is there a PC for it?

You can sign up for a .mac account anytime. You do not have to have a mac computer to be able to do it. Some of the features will not work, but you can still sign up for it. Go here http://www.apple.com/dotmac/ . I hope this helps you out.

I'll have one as well...

Hello! If anyone could be kind enough to let me use a code in buying my shiny new MBP, it'd be much appreciated!

If it matters, it's for the UK store.

Thanks for the tip! I was all set to order online, and then I found this when looking for a promo code. I got $120 Cdn off of a new Macbook Pro order w/printer! (original total was $2550 Cdn before discount).

Ka-ching!
