I called telesales and told them I wanted a discount and the guys said no problem. Offered me $50 off of a new macbook. Unfortunately it CANNOT be used with an Educational Discount (ED) nor CAN it be used with the Refurbs.

Can't win for losing....

So as it stands today here are the best choices:

Refurbished Mac with $100 mail in rebate for a printer
New Mac with a $50 coupon + $100 rebate for a printer
New Mac with an ED + $100 rebate for a printer + $200 rebate for an Ipod.

Didn't get the code - ordered it through them instead of online. I think it's a 5% discount.

just how much can one save from using a promo code on a MBP? ontop of student discount?

I'm more inclined to switch now that the new MBP has been released.

I echo the above question - is it possible to stack a promo code on the mac + free ipod deal, or does that invalidate the deal?

And of course if any of you are lucky enough to have a promo code sitting around, I would love to use it

Sorry...it was brand new. I had already used one and I didn't need the extra. I just registered at the Apple Store and about 8-10 days later, I got the code. I had 2 e-mail accounts, so I got 2 codes. I didn't buy anything until I had already rec'd one of the codes. It just sucks that you have to wait 8-10 days for it to show up in your e-mail box. I hope you find another one!
