Mine sold for $165.. Not bad. I'll pick up an ATV3 as soon as I get payment and ship him out my ATV2. Then I'll throw my other ATV2 up with a BIN of $175 and see if anyone bites.

If anyone wants to get rid of an apple tv 2 and avoid ebay and paypal fees message me. I already have funds in paypal so you shouldnt incur and paypal fees.

I assume you are in the US? (cos i'm not!)

Current auction update £62, 1 day 10 hours left. Currently 39 Watchers!!!!

It's funny how when I offered up my ATV2's still running 4.4 on these forums for $150 with free shipping about a month ago I was chastised as if that was somehow not the going rate (I was down rated considerably), but now we have a whole thread about everyone unloading theirs on ebay and getting $150-175.... I'm just glad Ebay was there to sell mine and make a nice profit. Now I have 3 ATV3's!

Some people don't like others making money so it seems. Glad it worked out - hoping it does for me. Though to be honest if I clear £90 after ebay/paypal fees i'll be happy.

I have an ATV2 that I never updated to the new icon interface, it's still on the older interface. So assuming that can be Jb. Just curious though, what exactly can I do with an ATV2 jailbroken? Just stream movies from my PC basically? I already do that with my TiVo.

You can install XBMC and watch all the movies and tv shows you want!

just bought 2 for 155 a piece, kind of excited to jailbreak it directv is worthless now with the whole viacom situation.

DirecTV was pretty much worthless anyway, unless you like your TV to go out when it rains or snows.

I've rarely ever lost signal on DirecTV or Dish Network in the last 6 years. I had a problem where a Tree grew into the path of the my dish to the satellite. Sounds like the mis-informed masses. Besides, when I was on cable we lost channels all the time when their dishes (yes your cable co uses a dish as well) would lose signal. And frankly, television isn't important enough to me that if for some reason it were to be lost for a few minutes, that I would really care.

With that said, if I could just figure out how to get college football like I get today without cable, I would dump it in a heart beat.

Just to see what I would get, I put my ATV2 on eBay last week with a $100 starting bid and $175 buy it now. Right now it is up to $150 and still have almost 24 hours left. I got a $100 bid just minutes after posting it, so I went ahead and bought an ATV3. :)

Damn! Time to unload my 3 apple tv2's :) and replace them with 3 apple tv3 and some extra cash in my pocket!

People were upset with me when I spent some extra effort/time/gas to find a couple of iPad 2's when they were first released and sell one at a decent profit through Craigslist. In the end, it still turned out to be too much effort for me for too little gain, but I applaud my fellow entrepreneurs who expend their personal resources/effort to make an honest, IMO, buck.

I've got two ATV2's that are jailbroken, and I'd be more than happy to sell them for enough of a profit to replace one of them with an ATV3 and put a little cash in my pocket. But because these are still low-budget items, the incentive isn't there for me, since I'd still have to spend a bit of personal effort to get an eBay page up, ship it out, and then there's the possibility that someone might scam me and I'd be out the money and ATV2. One day soon (hopefully) when I'm bored and need something to do.

I ended up getting $167 for my ATV2. After fees and shipping, it paid for my new ATV3 and still have enough left over for a case of beer. :D

Sold two for $185 + shipping. I'm selling an old Mac mini now and with the combined proceeds I'll be able to get a refreshed latest gen Mac mini as a media player :)

I just sold two of them for $165 each. It is crazy that they are going for this much. I can buy two new ones and still pocket $100.

I'll sell my AppleTV 2 for the price of a new one and shipping if anyone is interested. + any PayPal or whatever fees. I'm not interested in profit.

It has the latest update, I don't know I'd that is good or bad?

Or maybe some people prefer to use their native tongue correctly, and not sound like an uneducated idiot...

I am an uneducated idiot because I used one word wrong? I guess all of my degrees mean absolutely nothing.

I really don't see why people are so into jailbreaking, but I have an Apple TV 2 that I would trade in an instant for an Apple TV 3.
