Of course. Especially at 3500 USD. How many family members can go to cinema for this amount of money? These uniquely immersive cinematic experiences will drive adoption of Apple Vision Pro.

Just add a multi-periscopic extension to your Vision and you all look in the same direction, at the same image and at the same time$3,500 x family of 5 = $17,500 to watch 3D movies.
Yeah, I don't see that happening.
Yeah. And you're brains explode. Like this:Just add a multi-periscopic extension to your Vision and you all look in the same direction, at the same image and at the same time![]()
I agree. One person who used it who has been courtside said it was as good as being there. Personally I am doubtful - but what if the price was an NBA pass for $300? My son would watch 3 games a week courtside. If it’s available for MLS my other son would watch a few games a week.I don't think this service will cost just the price of the vision pro... I'm sure there will be a pretty hefty subscription price or per game cost.
This is (the American) Godzilla, what did you expect? Is it just me or does it look like the monster doesn't have a head and fire is coming out of its neck?
I still have my LG OLED that does AMAZING 3D. Best that I have ever seen up to this point with 3D Blu-ray’s. I live near Disney World and have always enjoyed the immersive and 3D experiences they have offered. I know I might be in the minority, but I’ve just felt like there’s so much potential with 3D and we just haven’t seen its full potential yet?I love 3D tv and hate that they lost popularity. I still have my 3d Plasma and avatar 3d blu ray![]()
If I had a spare $4000, I’d be first in line. But unfortunately I don’t. LOL. I’ll be thinking hard about it.No one should buy this Vision Pro, so it is easier for me to get on launch day. Remember everyone, it’s a first generation. Wait several years for things to be ironed out and not to mention it is expensive.
I don't think you'll have to beat the queues on launch day to bag a Vision Pro!No one should buy this Vision Pro, so it is easier for me to get on launch day. Remember everyone, it’s a first generation. Wait several years for things to be ironed out and not to mention it is expensive.
Disagree. The difference here is that 3D movies don’t require any additional hardware once you’re using the headset. It’s already a 3D monitor.
Watching 3D movies in VR is a much different and more natural experience compared to using 3D glasses in a theater or on a 3D TV.
Actually it is (more natural), and when you use a Vision Pro (if you ever get over your prejudice) you will see.having goggles vs glasses is more natural?
I'm excited for the headset but your comparison is - comical ...

They better have a power plug or charger. Because that 2 hrs battery will not be good for movie viewing.
Nor the weight of the Vision Pro. A few people (Joanna Stern, John Gruber, etc) noted it started to feel heavy after about 30 minutes. They better have a power plug or charger. Because that 2 hrs battery will not be good for movie viewing.
Well it's hard to make real 3D with only one screen. With two screens we can have true binocular vision eg real 3D.Remember how successful 3D televisions were?
Same thing here.
A few quick snips to the family tree and suddenly these aren’t problems anymore.$3,500 x family of 5 = $17,500 to watch 3D movies.
I don't see that happening when I can put together a big screen with 5.x or 7.x speaker home theater set up for a fraction of that where we can all watch together without each person needing their own Vision Pro.
I wonder how long it will take Netflix and others to start charging extra for 3D content. And you'll probably need a currently non-existant subscription plan that offers 5 (or more) simultaneous streams since each Vision Pro headset will be considered 1 streaming device.
Disagree. You have to buy 5 VR sets to watch a movie with your family. thats 17000 USD. Even if you are a alone with your girlfriend, thats 7000. You can buy a nice used car for that money.Disagree. The difference here is that 3D movies don’t require any additional hardware once you’re using the headset. It’s already a 3D monitor.

If the tech is embraced, this will be the future of sports TV viewing - bring on more subscriptions for those front row views.it would be cool if they could setup enough cameras in a soccer stadium to create a truly unique experience of almost being on the field while the match is happening
