This is a developer tech demo. Obviously in the future the battery will be inside the device. If you are going to buy this one day one, you will be developing for this or have a lot of money to spend on tech betas.2 hours of battery life with a battery pack. Make no mistake this is the future of personal computing. In 10 years nobody will own an iPhone or a Mac with a screen.
I love how they completely hid the large battery pack you are supposed to carry around in your 'pocket' (?) they never showed the true size of the pack. The headset is still a big heavy thing strapped to your head. I worked for a VR company for 3 years, and I hate strapping something big, hot, and heavy to my face. This is another Newton, Pipen, or Liza ... B)

I think 5 years from today Apple may just charge $35,000 for this thing.
To be fair, that is about encouraging longer focal distances. That screen has lenses to increase the focal distance.Anyone else find it ironic that they advertise an iPad health feature which measures the device-to-eye distance, yet their groundbreaking new product has 4K displays an inch away from your eyeballs?
