i didn't see anywhere where they said it was for a known issue that they were complaining about. the whole thrust of their post is that they were prompted to submit their laptop without any explanation given why. to quote:

"...wouldn't tell me what's wrong with it and to me it's working fine."
I don't think the OP ever explained what the case was for or what prompted them to call for support, but they DO have a case number -
Sorry didn't explain fully
I do have a case number

Either the OP is trolling us or he's ignoring everything we're saying. He isn't replying to our questions so we don't know if he's calling a genuine Apple number or only calling the number that was given to him by the person on the phone.

I'm not going to bother trying to help anymore because it's clear he's just gonna do whatever he's gonna do. Or he's trolling, whatevs.
This whole thread is a scam trying to convince Apple device owners that it’s something that happens.

UPDATE
Sorry for the delay as this has been hard to sort out,
Turns out that this was a computer error that flagged up my MBP, i managed to talk to somebody higher up the food chain and he dug deeper to find out what was going on as many people on hear did say Apple never do this which he agreed and found that there was a glitch and there was nothing to do, and on the plus side i did received a substantial amount of vouchers to spend on the Apple store so Happy Days
