Both iPhone 14 PM and AW 8 were charged to my cards but no movement at all of the AW. Phone is in Anchorage, even though an Apple rep insisted that no label had been created yet. They're so clueless over there at Apple.
Yeah my vague hope was that they had them but wanted a separate launch day, and that someone would get confused and ship me an ultra at the same time as they're packing AW8's. Sadly, no card charge yet, and its still at stage 1 processing.
Sometimes in the UK, Apple don't know about things on launch day as they go via a partner shipper system of some form (syncreon?), and I think they pre-create the shipping ready. Hence why sometimes the DPD app has tracking before apple knows about it.
I have found it nice and refreshing not to have to carry my phone around knowing I still connectivity for a phone call or messaging. Combine that with Apple Pay and I can leave the house usually with just my car key card (some day I'll get a car that can be unlocked with the watch)
I ordered my wife a SS 41mm. Original delivery date showing 26th sept + ….. my card has just been charged and delivery jumped forward to Friday 16th !
Ordered a AW8 starlight 41 cellular. Delivery just jumped from 30.09. - 07.10. to delivery on 16.09. 🤩
I guess it’s already in Europe, status has not changed yet. Norway here.

All of these people are saying theirs has shipped got me thinking. Mine has said preparing to ship for days, plus the money came out of my account. I'm in the UK if that matters.
In past years both in UK and UAE I have had items delivered on launch day before they even showed as shipped.
Similar just happened here …… I wish the same would happen with my phone 😂
You can relax - i assume you're not getting an ultra (So your delivery day is this friday). In UK, apple have a logistics company or partner called syncreon. They ship in bulk to there for launch day, and they also keep stock there.
So:
1) If you order for launch day delivery it is sent there then "dispatched to us" from syncreon UK.
2) You order something in stock, it is "dispatched to us" from syncreon UK.
It wont ship in UK until thursday for your case therefore, same as for launch day iphones.
Note: 3rd option - something not in stock, eg. custom build mac or later than launch day iphone, it may be shipped direct from china in which case you get more spaced out tracking. (Extra note: DHL are a special case, it will show as shipped and tracking not available for sometimes a few days before it hits DHL's hub in germany when it will show tracking).
So my ultra arrives on the 23rd but in case I
my Ultra is due to arrive on the 23rd but I just placed an order for a 45mm Graphic S8 in case I don’t get on with the Ultra. I was surorised that the delivery time for the S8 is less than three weeks. Normally, with late orders after ore-launch the waiting time is a couple of months.

Once our orders move to process we should start seeing some movement to 'Preparing For Shipment' over the weekend. This usually happens Saturday evening or Sunday afternoon (PST time).

Once this happens you should be able to get details on your phone and let the tracking begin!
Here are some notes to help track orders:
If your Apple Watch status has changed to "Shipped", you can view the invoice on the Apple site.
That invoice has the serial number on it.
Go to Apple.com, then pick the ORDERS page (the little "shopping bag" icon at the far right on the homepage... go to your orders page). Now, log in, find your Apple Watch order... and click on Print All Invoices to see your shiny new Apple Watch serial number.

If your phone number isn’t working for UPS tracking, use your order number but subtract the last two numbers/letters. Say your order number is: W123456789, you'd put in: W1234567 - make sure to use the tracking by reference feature.

The watch would have to have more incentive than a skin temperature sensor and a fancy band. Look I like my watch 6, it does most everything. I would want it in a red color and a nifty band, but at my age I have a CGM stuck in my arm and having to have my iphone running out of power because it has to run the danged app for the CGM in the background. Granted I am where there is a charge, but it would be great if they could get the watch to do the blood glucose as well as the temperature, then we'd have a deal. IF my watch would be broken or something, then sure. I would go for the gps plus cellular andpay it off until I croaked.
Welcome. It's stuff you learn over time, many of us know it, others its a first time thing. The DHL thing is the most nerve racking to go through first time, no idea if its stuck in china at customs etc.
For friday deliveries to UK, some will have had shipping already potentially if its coming from china, for the syncreon route, the notifications should come out anytime from now through to tomorrow. I once got it only thursday evening late (I had no nails left by then).
I ordered a Series 8 watch on September 7th right after the announcement, and it says Preparing for Shipment, with a delivery date of the 16th.
Odd thing is I do not see anything in my UPS MyChoice App for it and it's two days before I am supposed to get it. I see my new iPhone in there with a tracking number, just nothing for the watch.

My shipping info popped up yesterday. But there’s no progress so far, the UPS page still says “label created”,”UPS has not received the package yet”.
I'm just sitting over here with a 21st - 28th date hoping it magically changes to the 16th 😅
Me too. I ordered my Series 8 Hermes before the event was even over. Charge is pending on my apple cc since Sunday. Preparing to ship since Saturday. Still nothing in UPS my choice and I even checked by reference number in fedex too. Zilch, nada and I have 9-16 delivery. I remember last year my Series 7 Hermes watch came from Tennessee.
