Are you going to order the Apple Watch (2022)?

From my understanding its normal for your card to be charged, and then for it to disappear. It's Apple's way to make sure the payment is good. I had it also processed when I ordered my Ultra on pre-order day. Now, I am just waiting for them to really take my money, but that won't happen until they ship the Ultra's next week.

Small yet uninteresting update. My 41mm order that originally had dates of Sept 22nd - 29th got moved up a day to Sept 21st - 28th. Still no charge yet, hopeful it comes even sooner.

Ditto. My ups app only shows one package from Apple, I know that's my iPhone 14 PM. I called Apple and had a long useless argument about that yes a label for my phone has already been created and the phone is already in Incheon so how come I can't track the watch? She insisted that a label had not been created either for the phone or the watch. Those Apple people need to get on these forums and learn something.

If it's like the iPhone it won't change to shipped until it's stateside. I tried tracking it on ups.com using the order # minus last 2 digits like we do with the iPhone but nothing came up.
 
I ordered the 45mm midnight aluminum gps+cell on 9/9, no tracking info at all. Maybe because my iPhone 14 PM is coming standard shipping it's already been shipped and I can track it to Incheon but the watch has express shipping so maybe it really won't ship until Thursday. It's fun to track the iPhone, wish we could do that with our watches. I know some people have received tracking info, nada here.

You’re right! I never noticed that the Apple Watch was express shipping and the iPhone standard. This definitely has to mean that they’re already state side ready to ship.

So I missed getting my order in before the ship dates went back to late November, I'm wondering if the Apple stores will get stock in for general sales like they do with the iPhones? In the past I had a late October ship date for a new iPhone and was able to find one in a local apple store and just bought it instead and cancelled my order. Is it the same with the watches? I really want that orange band and don't want to have to wait until December to get the the thing.

You shouldn’t have a problem. Last year I went to the Apple Store 30 minutes before it opened and was able to get a S7 SS without any issue.

Originally they said Sep 27 - Oct 5. Now they’re saying Sep 23 - Oct 3.

My Series 8 Hermes is pending on my card since Sunday. I wasn’t charged for it on the day of the event. My Hermes band was pending but that charge dropped. No ups label yet, so I’m pretty sure my watch and band are in the US. last year my Hermes series 7 shipped from Tennessee. Have 9/16 delivery date for band and watch.

£0 charge for the ultra when I ordered. Since thats 23rd, I suspect no actual charge until end of this week or beginning of next.
In contrast, iphone was charged immediately and has already cleared on the CC statement, for delivery 16th.
 
Was checking out some configs, especially the 41mm again on the Apple Store. Now the in-store pickup is saying check for availability on the 16th where that was unavailable, at least for me, when preorders went live.

Ironically this year, for the first time, I'm less bothered by the phone launch.

While I've opted to go from the 13pm to 14pm for the camera (i'm a nature enthusiast so want more detail), its the new ultra that I'm really looking forward to as I hope to finally stop having to use the garmin for my running (the apple watch battery can hack most of my long runs, but only just, which means you have to plan charge - run - charge. Hope with the ultra, i can charge overnight, and then do a day including a marathon as part of it.
 
This is the first year I ordered the cellular version of the AW. I never thought I needed it bc I always have my phone w me. But I guess it'll be nice when I go for my walks once the misery of the 100° summer heat index cools down to something more manageable here in FL to not have to carry the phone. Not sure I'll get enough benefit out of it to justify the additional cost but we'll see.
