Another one just to bump the thread as we are all looking for this "perfect fit", I believe.

On topic: Any bands that come with removable adapters?

Who knows. Probably just showing the machined item without the other parts. Besides, half these adapters on eBay share the same stock photos. You truly never knew what you're getting from them. But I'm willing to bet they are all the exact same, made by the same Chinese company. The auction claims they are in NJ but when I emailed him through eBay about the band size they fit, it said he is based in China. And after two emails to him asking if they fit a 24 mm Zulu strap, he responded to both saying they fit 42 mm lol. He's not understanding so I'm not even gonna bother anymore and will find out myself when it gets here. For $12 I don't mind if they are junk and lose the money.

He needs his storefront shutdown for trying that ****. I bought bands from some guy claiming to be in NJ, but found out he was in China. Promptly cancelled. I don't want to wait 2 weeks for my bands because somebody felt like being dishonest. It's wrong...

Is there still no word on those Mfi adapters Apple released a few months back? That's what I'm waiting on, but I haven't seen anyone selling them (with or without a strap attached.)

Hi All.

Where would you recommend buying a high-quality pair of adapters to attach a traditional watch band to a SS Apple Watch? I'm going to need a new set for the thick Di-Modell (non-Apple-specific) leather watch band that I've ordered. http://di-modell.com/AIR-TER-MER-Oregon-enpid-3605.html

I'm looking for this style of adapter, in particular: http://www.dhgate.com/store/product/iwatch-apple-watch-strap-adapter-connector/247941962.html

UK users this thread below list places for screwdriver etc, its just a question of 'blue' (*semi permanent*) or 'red' (*permanent*) Loctite.

Subscribed.

And, OP, unlike the other thread started in June, can you track recommendations and add them to your opening post? Pretty please? It'd save having to read through a couple hundred posts if this thread takes off.

Can anyone confirm for me what size band the "classic buckle" style adapter on the 38mm watch takes? Is it 22mm?

Has anyone found some good quality spring bar style adapters yet? I just got mine on eBay (elifegadget, AZ), but the fit is a little too loose. The ones from Clockwork Synergy are good, but they don't have the spring bar hole going all the way through, so if I put in my big Di Modell strap, I don't thin I'll ever be able to get it out again, even with a spring bar tool.

Are there any other places that sell high quality spring bar adapters (with the proper hole)? I don't want the bar shaped ones that are screwed in.

I'm also looking for Spring bar adaptors. I've found GMYLE ones and Wearlizer ones. Does anybody have any opinion on these?

I'm about to purchase this band for my SS watch, either in brown or light brown (currently undecided):

http://www.hirschag.com/en/hirsch-bracelet-assortment/#/191

Having the 38mm i have to choose a size depending on which adaptors I buy - 20mm for the springbar type or 22mm for the "classic" type, so I need to decide that first.

Does anyone have strong opinions either way about which type of adapter it would look better on, or even better pictures of a similar band on either/both types?

Actually Apple's latest guidelines for Developers making Bands for the Apple Watch is to use Loctite 435: https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...r-the-watch-band-adapters-release-r3.1953542/

It's a clear adhesive also used in medical equipment from what I read on the Loctite website.

okay thanks will lookup on amazon
Is Amazon truly necessary for buying glue? Doesn't anyone get out of the house anymore?

Sorry for the outburst. I see small Amazon boxes delivered almost daily to my building and keep wondering if the items inside could instead be found at the corner grocery store or at the pharmacy down the street.

I don't go out much at the moment, but I do like amazon mainly because of the 'no quibble' return policy, also I'm with Prime. I know what you mean though, they could pay Corporation Tax in the UK as well, that irks me somewhat.

ps
I certainly won't be buying that glue from amazon at that price. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Loctite-435...F8&qid=1454425479&sr=8-1&keywords=Loctite+435

LOL. Hey I thought the same thing but if it's not a blue or red Loctite you most likely won't find in most cities at your local hardware store. Some time ago I was looking for something and even checked small hardware stores and auto shops and even a hobby store. Sometimes it's just a product that is more specialized and people in those industries who use it just order it in bulk through wholesalers and not through the local stores. So yeah it kills me to order something like this online but in my area ebay will be my go to place.

Heck case in point, I was recently looking for a triangular pencil grip for my Apple Pencil. Do you think I could find one sold at a office supply store. Apart from the fact that small office supply stores have gone out of business (like McWhorters in our area) forced out by the big guys, the big guys have been consolidating and don't carry as deep of a line of stuff anymore. It's really sad you have to order 1 pencil grip off ebay these days. At least I only had to pay first class postage to ship it in a padded envelope and not more, but still...

Yeah, all true. Our local hardware store burned down three or four years ago (an employee on break dropped his cigarette into a bucket; once the nearby paint caught fire, it was all toast) and still hasn't rebuilt. I only know of one nearby option, and it's a Home Depot.
