nonsense. which watch model do you have?
I upgrade AW1->AW4->AW7->Ultra 2 last year, at least the form factor is different. But at the end of the day, they are just mostly used for notifications. Watch OS sucks, not much can be done on there.

Link to that link band please? All the link bracelets I see are stainless steel, even though the colors are updated to match the new titanium S10's.
My bad, that’s the band I was referring to. I thought the bands were titanium. I’m just referring to the new color that matches the titanium I wanna see how it pairs with the ultra

I’m still on the 6, what felt like the biggest difference to you upgrading to the 9?
Overall experience — the screen is a significant improvement even though on paper it isn’t much bigger. The screen colours are much better. Battery is better and fast charge is really convenient. Double-tap gesture control was the main reason I wanted to upgrade.

I was thinking of upgrading my series 6. But after comparing the series 6 and series 10 on Apple’s product comparison page I realised that there was practically no differences. So I’m not upgrading it. Still waiting for more reliable health features such as blood pressure and blood sugar. And maybe other things if available. That’s the kind of things I’m looking for.

It’s not a toy. It’s a fitness/health tracker. If you want to get more use out of it start doing sports regularly.

Ya, if health sensors are your main selling point then there hasn’t exactly been a ton of progress on that front since the Series 6 (though I could see Series 8 temperature sensor cycle tracking being useful for women)

Not exactly sensors but crash detection and sleep apnea detection are another two tangentially related health features that have been added as well.

Otherwise the biggest improvements have been with the Display, Fast Charging and Siri.

With all the downfall on the „I want my new shiny to be more new and shiny“ and battery qq one needs to remind people that Apple Watch is not just the most sold smart watch on the planet (in the universe even) but it is also the most sold watch On the planet. Wich is even more crazy if you consider that it dos noteworthy without a iPhone.

People clearly like what is on offer.

ok, my view is different, so that's ok, I've had S0/3/4/7/U1/U2 and I'm quite happy with the capabilities of watchOS ...

agreed, and, for clarification, there is also wrist temp detection since I think the 8 and it is gender neutral, and is a useful feature for me.

yeah, I think Apple is being a bit sly on those as it seems one has to dig a little bit to see they're stainless.

I'd love for an actual titanium one though. At least the Milanese loops for the Ultra are titanium.

I charge my watch every night when I go to bed. How long the ultra lasts doesn't matter to me. Or anyone else who does the exact same thing.,
The apple watch 10's battery only lasts 7 hours while working out (apple webpage). So if you are doing extra long activities, your strategy won't work for everyone.

The trick is to bring these tiny Apple Watch PowerBanks and charge on a lunch or drink break. Also interesting that it works only 7 hours. My six still dos six hours of biking.

I'm receiving mine hopefully on Friday.
I'll keep it if two conditions are met :
  1. I want it to resist some scratch tests on the new Jet Black color... YouTubers, I'm calling for you
I imagine a visit to an Apple store on Saturday or Sunday will reveal the scratch resistance given how many people will likely try to scratch the demo model.

I haven't found the referenced spec yet, so I don't know if they're talking about with GPS on in the watch or if leveraging the phone's GPS. If the latter then you might see longer battery life. Perhaps @ececlv can give more detail of that 7 hours.

If I ever get back to doing workouts that long I'll worry about it then. An hour or two is plenty for me and top up the watch whilst I shower.

Anyone else considering 'upgrading' to the smaller series 10 from an Ultra 1? This thing is too bulky. I love the battery life but I've realized it just isn't comfortable. Plus it doesn't have sleep apnea detection. On the other hand, it looks nicer imo.

Cool thanks, the seven hours is using GPS without the phone.

If leveraging the phone’s GPS, then I would expect you could go longer.

It annoys me they didn’t keep the thickness and try and push it as close to 24 hours as possible
It’s very clear that they are confident in 18 hours being enough (which in my use case it is, never had a problem charging it). You’ll probably see this go down another millimeter as soon as they can scrape that of.
