Do you plan on ordering the new Apple Watch Series 7 (2021) this September?

My launch day watch which went to “Shipped” on October 11 but sat in Shanghai for the last four days finally started moving tonight, but UPS changed the delivery date in the app to October 18.

The Apple Store app still says “delivers Tomorrow” but UPS is now Monday.

Everyone always says “have faith, if Apple says it will be there, it will get there” but let this serve as a reminder that it is not always true.
Yep. My last location was anchorage with yours but my delivery has changed to "unknown" - probably because it is early here. I'll live but why did our watches just sit in Shanghai for so long?

I was on the phone with Apple just now. They said there was a delay with international orders and I should see an update on my order status soon. Also he said if I don’t see any update by end of Monday (!) I should call them again on Tuesday.

I asked them about compensation and that I have been ordering Apple products for years etc., so he said he’ll see what he can do. After a few minutes he said he talked to the manager who said there is nothing they can do, and that “shipping delays do happen.”
They could at least be a bit more transparent towards the customer. Email the customer and tell them sorry your order has been delayed but no communication at all.

If i weren’t that obsessed (like many on this forum) checking the status a few times a day i wouldn’t even notice that it was not shipped at all.

They could at least throw in a free watchband for you. Cost them nothing to make. They sell a sportsband for 50 bucks but the costs for them are maybe a few bucks.

This is my Midnight Aluminium S7 45mm.

It came with the Midnight Sport Band, however I also ordered a 45mm Midnight Leather Link Band in Size S/M.

I had to set it up as a new watch to download the 8.0.1 software update (so I could access the backup from my S6 which was already on 8.0.1).

After the software update it found my S6 backup and everything is up and running.

I was tempted by the cellular watch, but ended up going GPS only again.

Congratulations! Hope you enjoy your new Apple Watch. It’s just beautiful.

I bought the leather band for my wife and now I kinda want one. I wasnt sure how strong the magnets would be so I was always nervous. They are suprisinly strong, maybe I pick up the midnight band today when we pick up her watch.
