Just applied a screen protector on mine - know many people don’t like them, but had scratches on my S-6 screen edge so back to a screen protector. Also, pic of S-7 with Baltic Blue Leather Link in case anyone wonders how it looks with the new blue.

Which screen protector did you go with? You’ll have to update how it lasts.

I would say it’s worth going. The online Apple store is not matching with the store inventory. You might get luck and be able to snag one. Good luck.

Might as well. Reading all the threads have made me nervous about purchasing online, and I'm also a little impatient when it comes to package deliveries. Plus, If I were to miss a package from UPS or FedEx, I'd have to drive to Mansfield (which is also an hour from me) and would have to take half a day off from work just to pick up a package. 😅😅 fingers crossed they have something in stock this weekend! But, not keeping my hopes too high.

Planning on it. I may go in Saturday Morning if I can. Not a morning person but I'll be bringing a giant cup of coffee with me haha. I currently have a 44mm AW6 aluminum in silver but debating if the 45mm AW7 will look too big on the wrist or if it's not that noticeable.

That is my issue with opening day pre orders (mostly iphones, I also finally upgraded my aw4 to a aw7 that is currently in Anchorage on UPS tracking (finally out of China) and to deliver Friday.

Even in pre-pandemic years I found all of the time it took me at least 5-15 minutes before the store servers would let me in on my apple store apps (here in Illinois) and over half the time I could not get a opening day delivery of my iphones (my watches I just bought later locally (AW1 and AW4)).

And it is such a pain because of the almost week long to 4 day long window of delivery I get some weeks after meaning someone has to tentatively plan to be home and wait one of those days and til a few days before finding it came a week early and then more planing when to be there. Having one day — opening day avoids all the wait, missing a package because I cannot be home like you mention.

Nearest apple store to me are over 2 hours away not a easy trip. Actually once my watch moved to shipped but sat at airport for 5 days I could not cancel and opening day there were my watches locally at Best Buy but too much a hassle to figure out how to send the watch coming from apple back and all that — it is just a watch not my iphone which I get more nervous about LOL

In the future I probably will go back to upgrading watch locally when supplies are in town here at Best Buy, Costco and Walmart and just do my IUP iphone upgrades as usual only one panic period when I do not get first day delivery LOL Enough tension.

I am really torn ...
I really like SB with my S4 and how shiny it is, but now learned that Ti SB is matte ...
And graphite SS appears to be PVD and not DLC anymore
I really need to go to the store and look at my options, I wear black Nike bands in the colder months and white/platinum ones in the warmer months ...

I got lucky. And I got an Apple watch in store too

By the way, in my case, the Apple online story inventory was accurate. No need to call them. And apparently, I lucked out even fuurther and got the last (only?) one.

My 27-29th order is out for delivery today. It's getting returned today also as I grabbed one Saturday.

The wife's is also coming a week early today, she's coming from a S3 so is going to feel a big upgrade.

I've always used Milanese, but I'm trying the leather link and it is quite comfortable. And no arm-hair tugging.

Just for a fun exercise as I wait for my Friday arrival of my 45 mm starlight aluminum I looked at the two closest apple stores for me over two hours away in Chicago. No watches of what I am getting no matter the band choice so some of you were/are lucky to find it that way.

But on Friday last my watch moved to shipping so I could not cancel and I was too busy to go to local Best Buy which had my watch available for a very short time. But we had to be somewhere most of day and by that time they were all gone.

Agreed. This is what I did, though it was release day. What they show available online for store pick up is different from what inventory they have for walk-ins. Just make sure you get there 15-30 minutes before the store opens, and cross your fingers. Best of luck.

Hey, Another member of team Blue - Love it. I ordered whatever band I could to get a launch day watch, too. I got in through the veteran store around 0510PDT and still made it. Got this Deep Navy Sport Loop that I still have in the sealed box. Wondering how/if I can exchange just the band in store...seems hit or miss, but I was letting the initial craziness die down. Maybe this weekend I'll try. And of all things, the Deep Navy band isn't even an option to purchase separately anymore, nor can it be made in a style. Guess it got discontinued following pre-orders and i got one of the last in this combo.

I am super happy with the new Nike Sport Band in Midnight Navy/Mystic Navy.
