I think it's worth it. 3% cash back for Apple Store and Apple Services (Music/iCloud, etc) and 2% cash back on other Apple Pay usage - straight to your Apple Cash card at the end of each day. I always pay it off at the end of the month, so I haven't paid any interest on it at all. There's a few other stores/brands that also give 3% cash back when using it, too. The customer service from Goldman-Sachs has been excellent (gave me a refund during that iPhone 13 Apple Card glitch) and their help is readily available. It's a wicked fancy card, if/when you break out the physical card...serious flex when you break it out.
This is it. I’ve had the Apple Card since launch day in Aug 2019. I haven’t paid ma single cent in interest, and I use the card for a large bulk of my purchases. We have Apple Pay available most places here, so I get 2% cash back on all of those purchases, 3 % back on purchases from Apple and 1% back on everything else. Right now, for example, I’ve got $40 in cash back from my purchases over the past three weeks. Money to me for doing nothing more than buying what I was going to buy anyway.

If you want to spread out the payback of the card balance for certain purchases from Apple interest free, you can do that, too.

So, if you’re an Apple person, it can be worth it.

Also, the Apple Card interface is quite nice.

Man, I am 11/1 - 11/8 midnight/midnight and haven't seen any movement yet.
Seriously? Well, I ordered the Nike S7 in Midnight with the black sport loop… (now kind’ve wishing I had gone with the crimson Nike sport band instead) and I had 11/17-11/24 delivery date and I just saw a charge on my card.

Although now I hope @lsh theory isn’t correct. LOL. 😂

mine was stuck in the US for a good day and it said the same thing "pending release from a non ups broker..."
just got a destination scan here in Calgary, should be delivered today sometime, what a good start to the weekend!

Thanks for info. So I expect it will probably be stuck in that state for the next several hours which means I’ll get it Monday. Ughh… held up at the last minute and I’m only 5 minutes away from it in the same damn town.

I also ordered one from Best Buy online on Wednesday which was supposed to arrive “as early as” today but it still has not shipped and has been moved to “as early as” Monday. (UPDATE: Called Best Buy and was told the watch is now being backordered)

The wait continues…

Is Apple Card worth it? Been debating one but don’t think I’d use it enough.
YES!!!!! I love it. I love the cash back I get everyday I use it. All I do is pay with my Apple card, then immediately pay off the amount I just put on it. It's a no brainer especially for Apple purchases. And the Titanium card is sooooo beautiful.

This is true. But it offers interest free financing on Apple products. I would finally be able to afford real watch bands!
And all you have to do is use your apple card instead of your debit card, then immediately pay off the amount you just put on it. I've had it for only a couple of weeks and I've got over 60.00 in cash back.

AMEN! Couldn't agree more. Just be discipline and don't make purchases you cannot pay off immediately.

Thank you for explaining it. I thought it was an Apple specialist not GS.
This is info on who you chat with for Goldman Sachs/Apple Card. The third is my chat following that iPhone 13 Pre-order glitch - and they lived up to that promise. They respond to you within about a minute of your first note to them. So far, service has been on par with AMEX Platinum customer service.

I thought you'd be rocking this card for sure! It is literally the Titanium boss of cards. Even arrives in total Apple style packaging, comparable to a phone or watch experience.

I like the Apple Card for Apple purchases and for the places where you get the higher CB (Panera, Walgreens, etc). As a daily driver I use a Chase Freedom Unlimited paired with a Chase Sapphire Preferred which exceeds the 2%. I also have a USAA cash back that gives 2.5% back on all purchases.

Anyway, if you want a single card it’s a decent option depending on how you spend. Using the physical card for 1% is leaving a lot on the table though.

Seeing that 6% back, and also seeing SS Silver with several sport band and golden brown leather link in stock for local store pickup...feeding my FOMO right now. Only had Blue S7 for a week. So tempting to return it and grab an SS...but then those weak haptics....hmmm.
I don’t really notice weakness in the haptics personally. It seems subjective. Came from an aluminum S4 to a graphite SS.

Honestly, I don't think the Haptics are that bad. Just upgrade. That's what I did, and it was the best decision I made.

The way I look at it is like this. As long as your disciplined and your able to pay off the balance daily or at the end of the month, the cashback after a year could used to buy a new iPad, Macbook, watch, etc. And Apple makes it so easy to to pay off your balance. The interface is awesome! I use it for all purchases I normally would use my debt card for. So, If I go out to dinner, instead of using my debt card, I use my Apple card and then immediately pay it off while still sitting at the table. It's so addicting because you see how fast the cashback adds up.

This. With discipline, they basically pay you for using the card. I need to stress the with discipline part. I also want to say this is the case with many cards, but the integration with Apple Pay and Apple Cash + the interface takes the cake for me

Ugh, you're tempting me to get the Apple Card... problem is I've already got my most 2 recent purchases preparing for shipment (Nike Apple Watch + Base 14" MBP) and they should be here next week.

I'm honestly considering going to the Apple store when I get my items and seeing if they would allow me to apply and if approved (not worried about that), return both my devices and charge them on the Apple Card.

What do ya'll think my chances are? :p

Sounds like a bunch of effort for minimal gain, tbh

I'm sure this has been done before so I don't think you'd have a problem. Get your devices first. I guess the hard part for me is: would I open them right away or not(?). I think you apply via your iPhone's Wallet app - after putting in your info, GS will evaluate you for what limit and what interest rate you get (yes, not all of us got the same interest rates nor same credit limits). It won't impact your credit score or count as a true credit check until after you accept their terms and complete the application.

Technically Apple has a 14 day return policy, even for opened items, and then you can return and rebuy them right there. Maybe check out your plan at your local Apple store, get a name and their business card. That's how I would approach it. Good luck!

If that's too much trouble, it's all good. Maybe wait until your next big Apple purchase to do it.
