I like the color of the band, but the band itself is ugly. I like how it magnetically attaches but other than that the style is not good in my opinion.

I bought the Midnight leather link and love it, now, my next purchase is to get the black leather link from Amazon since Apple no longer carries the 44mm.
It’s been wayyyyyyy tooooooo looooonnggg. I ordered on launch day, got ordered placed within 5-7 min and was stuck with Nov 2-9 delivery. Card got charged last night, though and now ‘preparing to ship’. I’m guessing next weekend or beginning of that next week.

Was it the band style that got your order delayed?
I ordered a Lavender solo loop. I didn't think that would have delayed it, but who knows? I should have gone with a more basic band, so I could have gotten my watch on launch day, but I couldn't decide on the band lol

No way I could ever use a leather band, and wouldn't want to be changing bands 10 times a day lol. Nike black sport loop is it for me.
I also ordered the same time as you - Oct. 8, about 7 minutes in. Got a delivery date of Oct 25 - Nov 1. No movement at all yet. Blue 45 mm cellular - Abyss Blue sport band. At the time it seemed like a combo that would ship right out, as it was nothing fancy. So the "basic band" theory didn't work out for me. 😃
I just went to the Apple Store and they did the same. All I did was show them that the band was very loose at the top.

Maybe I’m the oddball then. Once I put my watch on in the morning I don’t even think about the leather link and I wash my hands frequently throughout the day as well as washing dishes, etc. If I feel that too much water is on my band, I wipe it off but otherwise I don’t even think about it—maybe because it’s sooo comfortable that I forget that I’m wearing it.
