Somehow overslept 45 min and now may have to order it from the next train station. Still can’t decide if I want titanium or SS! Coming from a Watch Series 3, I keep my devices for 3-4 years.

Interesting. The larger display is one of the few improvements. If I get a delayed delivery date and reviews come out saying this, May have to reconsider.
That 14 day return policy will come in handy. But according to this reliable twitter account the design was already confirmed back in August or even before. The leakers got everyone brainwashed this time. Expectations were set high. Just like how everyone was saying MacBook Pro is coming during WWDC 2021. It’s October and still not here. Go figure!

Apple Store in both iPad and iPhone show "you're early" but not on the web page at least using Chrome, right?

Perhaps the manufacturing problems Apple faced were not due to the fabled boxy design (the design we are getting was most likely always planned) but due to the inclusion of a new sensor that somehow hasn't worked out. Maybe that explains why there is so very little feature difference between a series 6 and 7

This whole watch cycle is the strangest I’ve ever seen

I hope one day we find out the real truth.

Does the web site tend to throw up fewer errors on Apple Watch pre-order day? On iPhone I always need multiple attempts to get my order in because I keep getting errors that interrupt/abort an order part way through. Often getting it into my basket is the easy part but then getting through checkout and payment authorised can be a nightmare in the first few minutes after the store comes up. I'm thinking that the Watch is a slightly more niche product than the iPhone, not every iPhone user also has an Apple Watch, so on pre-order day the absolute number of people trying to place an Apple Watch order should surely be lower than on iPhone pre-order day? But presumably it is the same server farm(s) that are running the shop so if there are indeed fewer customers stampeding through checkout on Apple Watch day but still competing for the same total compute power for the store then the systems might be slightly better able to cope thus a slightly less frustrating experience getting one's order placed?

What are people's practical experiences on this? I have "competed" in the iPhone pre-order event most years, and iPad for many of the release years, but have never gone for a pre-order day Apple Watch before today.

Same here, my S4 has everything I need but battery life is kind of fading. But I know Series 8 will be a much better upgrade

This is the only reason I am upgrading. My S4 is running close to 10% by end of day with light usage and getting worse and I know where that will be in another month along with the fact that the Black SS is pretty scuffed with my daily abuse, but functionally it's fine - so this is a meager excitement for something new, haha. I'd prefer to wait for the 8

It is live on AT&T and the best case was delivers from release date to the next 7 days,(I read incorrectly, best release date is 18th -25th) no release date guaranteed delivery like usual. Stainless models were listed as delivers nov 1-8.

Any help….

ALUMINIUM OR STAINLESS STEEL??

I’ve had aluminium since S0. Always Space Grey until the blood oxygen Blue S6. But now…. What about the stainless. Any do or dont’s?
SS, absolutely worth the extra $$. Once you get it, you will understand.

So I guess we get the 7
