Or you can think of it as a free addition for SS and Ti models. So instead of having to pay extra for cellular like the aluminum models, you get it for free for the same price you would otherwise pay for a non-cellular SS and Ti. ?
Good point. I called my carrier yesterday and they told me I couldn’t attach two cellular watches to the same iPhone lol. Otherwise I’d have caved and gotten that sweet sweet graphite SS or Ti model.

You mean express ? Or the date ? TBH I don’t care what it says as long as it’s delivered on the date quoted. :)

Both. Orders arriving earlier than what it says on the order page happens often (usually because they churn out more devices than they expected at order time - that's why many orders move up and arrive sooner).

I mean, it's Apple, so you never know. But from past experience, "expedited" doesn't mean anything for a pre-order. Maybe they changed things, but I doubt it.

I stand by what I said regardless of what Apple shows on someone's order.
Perhaps take into account that the world doesn’t revolve around the USA and to some parts of the world it maybe considered ‘Express Delivery’…. Clearly there is some reason for different terminology but what do I know.

Do you guys getting SS and Ti mostly use the cellular function? I already have a s6 gold SS with a cellular connection so just couldn’t bring myself to shelling out an extra $5-600 CAD for the SS or Titanium. Some of those SS and titanium combos do look deadly though.

Really wish they had a wifi only SS or Ti that was a few bucks cheaper.
I use cellular all the time, at least 45min/day streaming ESPN radio while I walk. Also I find myself leaving my phone in the car or home and just use the watch.

Ok. So I’ve cancelled by last option and gone with the midnight with the midnight leather strap.

I use cellular all the time (I’ve had Ti for S5, S6, and soon S7. I’ve also had the cellular models since they first came out).

When I run, I get to leave my iPhone behind, which is great. One AirPod Pro and I’m good.

While I’m swimming, if there’s an urgent matter I can jump on it.

It’s worth the $10/month to not think about connectivity.

It does. Not keen on any other colours through. Might change it to this combo…

I’ve bought a midnight aluminium with a black solo loop

I’m also concerned it’ll make the Watch look more blue, but not sure what the alternative is.

The only strap I already own is a leather link… in black!

Wondering if I should get a leather link in midnight?

Every black strap I pair it with makes it look more blue. I don’t think it’ll be that blue in person. The midnight leather strap looks much better but it’s not the same shade.

What annoys me is that cellular is a £50 add on for an SE and free on a SS but costs £100 if you want it on aluminium.

I know it will never happen, but I wish watches and iPads offered cellular for a £30-50 premium at a max. I think a lot more people would go for it if it wasn’t such a massive extra cost!

I’ve got the “midnight” leather case for my iPhone and it’s basically black.

I’m hoping this will be the same.

My order is for a store pickup so I think I’ve a bit more flexibility if it don’t like it on the day.

My main reason for not getting a midnight leather loop is it’s too similar to my black black version and that I’d have nothing suitable for exercising.

I've had launch day orders say "express" while others said "standard" (I didn't ask for express or select it). I still got my on laucnh day, no earlier. When planes leave China, or whereever, there are no special "expedited" planes. All the phones, watches and whatever leave on the same plane, and in the case of the US, fly to Anchorage, then to the distribution center, Louisville or Memphis. No one jumps that order.

Just saying...don't be shocked if your order doesn't get to you any faster.
Agreed. Launch day is a firm date. The shippers are instructed by Apple not to deliver any of these early, even if they can. Sometimes tracking information will show an early arrival but then the day before the status will change to "Exception - Shipper Hold" or something to that effect until the advertised delivery date of 10/15.

I’m kind of in the same boat. I just want the Space Black casing. The only way to get that is to buy the Hermès which came out to almost $1400. I also bought a Nike Midnight 45mm GPS only which came out to $460. I have to spend an extra $940 because I want an actual black watch. I’m hoping I like the Midnight Nike one enough to return the Hermès.

I do. I don't like to run with my phone on me.

Nike 45mm Midnight cell+gps. Logged on with the Apple Store app shortly after 8 ET. Had a few fumbles and bobbles that were my fault but was finished with purchase and trade-in by 8:15. Paid with Apple Card, no issues, and got an in-store pickup on the 15th.

Question...

I was able to secure the watch I wanted for October 15th delivery.

I had to scramble, though, as I had no idea the SOLO band would be standard on the lowest-priced Stainless Steel watch.

I ordered a size 7 band just off the top of my head in order to secure the order.

I actually take a 5-6 band. Can I call Apple and have them change the band size prior to delivery?

If not, I am sure I can arrange a simple exchange.

You will need to do an exchange at the Apple Store after you receive your watch.

I was in a rush thinking it will be imposible to place an order on gsm 41 green, so my order it’s at 05:03. 6 hours later there is still stock for the same configuration with next Friday delivery, seems like green was produced on green batches or nobody likes it ?
I think the green looks really nice, especially contrasted with the dark cherry band.
