Do you plan on ordering the new Apple Watch Series 7 (2021) this September?

ordered around 5am PST, then redid my order around 9am after choosing incorrect band, upgrading from S3 to 45mm S7. status in processing and estimated order arriving Nov 2 - Nov 9

If not, I am sure I can arrange a simple exchange.

Just return it for different size.

Undecided - Apple marketing has to do a damn good job to convince me to make these purchases:
  • Apple Watch Series 7 (My Series 6 is still going strong and the rumored upgrades are also similarly minimal, just like with this year's iPhone 13 release.)
  • iPad Mini Gen 6
  • iPhone 13 (After I replaced the battery on my iPhone X, it is still working fine and the upgrades rumored on the iPhone 13, don't make it a "must buy" in my book...I can hold off for another year. The upgrades seem so insignificant.)

Looking back on this post....man, was I prophetic or what...the S7 was the most underwhelming upgrade to come out this year, I think...

I mean it’s a watch. They made the screen 20% bigger in basically the same footprint. If you think about the 4 to the 6 what were the changes? AOD? Are you saying if the case design was changed then it would be a huge upgrade?

I don’t get Apple fans sometimes…

Mine was a simple order with lavender sport band. I was slowed down by waiting for site to open and then ordering 2 watches plus adding 2 gift cards. One watch is arriving at launch and the other (mine) is coming Oct 26-28. It was nice when you could set up your order the night before.

I was just informed by Apple that you can't order any Apple Watch that is not in stock. If the band isn't in stock you can't place an order for delivery later. If the case isn't in stock you can't place an order.

In other words, if the combo you want isn't "in stock" don't bother trying to order, because you can't.

Chatted with two different reps to this effect.

You don't speak for everyone else. The only place you were right was in your own mind where personal subjective opinions are meaningless outside of your cranium. Nothing to really brag about.

Get the case you want and order any sport band, or sport loop that is in stock for that case and size. Exchange the band later on at the Apple Store or buy the band you want later on. Problem solved.

So I can exchange a previously worn watch band at the online Apple Store?

Good combination. I might look to buy the braided solo in the store as an alternative band. Just want to make sure it fits. Delivery Date Is fine with me, even tho i think they will deliver the Friday before as i am close to the distribution hub. Upgrading from a S4 with a cracked Screen with no return value.

There is no need to wear a band you didn't want in the first place. The point was to order the case and size you do want. If that means ordering a band you don't want, so be it. When you get the watch, exchange the band for one you do want, instead of wearing the band you don't want. Make things easier on yourself not harder, especially if doing so means you get the watch faster.

So order a watch you can't wear without knowing when you can wear it?
 
Do anybody know why the standalone black loop band is not avaible on Apple Store (at least in Canada)? I want to buy this band in addition to my included Milanese loop but there is no option for this color

Order a band separately. If you do that now, it will probably arrive before the watch. When the watch arrives, attach the band you purchased separately. Very simple. Why are you arguing over something that can get you the watch faster? If you have a store near by, exchange the band that came with the watch.

If you can't figure out what I am conveying in simple terms, I am done replying.

It seems to be a crap shoot. I was just about ready to buy mine with the new flexible weave band in black. I got a call, and by the time I got back to the computer, it was no longer available, and I haed to pick a different band. Wound up with Blue, which will match my phone. Too bad the metal bands (other than the malaise loop) are so stupid expensive. Plenty more options on Amazon however.
