No ****, what a joke of a "production" year. Save your money, hurt their stock and buy low.
iPad also lacks major competition, and look where it ended up. While the hardware is amazing and benefits from improvements to Macs and iPhones, iPadOS has mostly stagnated for the past ~5 years.given the Apple Watch lacks major competition
I was going to get my wife a S8 to upgrade from her S5 but this is the common theme I keep on hearing, it's not worth it.
As a few have stated, that is why we are getting the Ultra. Clearly Apples plan to gravitate people towards the NEW, more expensive option.
Apple watch 8 is good upgrade for women...men should wait for the next gen when Apple will place a sensor for mens ego , cannot wait
Yes, S5 and laterInternational Roaming available on all Cellular Watches, not just this year's, right?
Which makes the ridiculous price I paid last year for S7 Titanium a bit easier to justify.it's literally a series 7 with 1 new sensor plus crash detection
I agree. I really like a number of things about the Ultra:I'm hoping for some GPS accuracy testing on the Ultra and 8 compared to previous watches. This is where I'm interested in seeing if there are any changes.
My vision is only now returning after opening the Verge site on TuesdayHoly.... i'm blind now
The 11" iPad Pro is extremely weak. Basically an Air with 120Hz.iPad also lacks major competition, and look where it ended up. While the hardware is amazing and benefits from improvements to Macs and iPhones, iPadOS has mostly stagnated for the past ~5 years.
I regret not buying s7 in Titanium. I was expecting to be able to pick up the s8 in Titanium.Which makes the ridiculous price I paid last year for S7 Titanium a bit easier to justify.
Enjoy walking around with your rectal thermometer dongle for your Apple Watch then lol, the reading it provides is more than sufficient for most uses. A core temperature reading is not necessary in a lot of instances. It won't. Part of it is knowing what it is actually measuring. If it's measuring skin temperature, it's rather meaningless. It's an appendage, it's not measuring core temperature.
I would say watch falls in the 4 years bracket, if not 5. Upgrade definitely worth from 3 to 8 or from 4 if one cares about always on display. Not worth doing from 5 (three years ago).I think the innovation in the Apple Watch is stifled by battery tech.
It has been said so many times on Macrumors; unless you HAVE to have the latest, year over year updates are not worth paying for. It's like replacing your car every year -objectively a waste of money.
iPhone, Watch - 3 years
iPad - 4 years
Macs - 5 years plus
Unless money is no object.
