I've yet to see anything that looks better than some of the mods done to the SS watch box. Until third party stands get a lot cheaper and better that's the route I think I'm going.

Not sure if this counts but found this phone and watch dock made by another forum user, metacove1. I'm really happy with the quality of the dock. It has grooves at the bottom of the base to keep the cords in place assuming, you're using original charging cables (for your phone at least). I have a third party cable and it's too thick to fit in the grooves. Other than that, I'm really pleased with it.

What clock app is this? Thanks!

Spigen's.

And the Spigen that everyone is talking about. Its cheap, the most attractive feature, but the biggest thing I don't like is the cable management. It comes out of the side when I would rather have it out on the back. And I read that there is some trademark printed in an annoying place in the front too that some do not like.

I'm very picky.

That's what bugged me about it but it really is a great value.

I went with Twelve South HiRise and have been very happy with it.

Just received my stand from TwelveSouth. I'm pretty happy with it!

I'm loving mine as well- matches my TS HiRise Deluxe phone stand nicely.

----------

Mine just arrived today. It's ok. The one thing I don't like is the cover for the cable behind the stand. It's cheap plastic with a paper like surface. I thought the whole thing would be aluminum (except for the scratch collars, of course). Otherwise it is as advertised and seems heavy enough. I put the extra screw and allen wrench under the cover, with tape to keep them from rattling. Never know when you might need a spare screw. They look like they could strip easily.

In retrospect, I wish I had waited for the Nomad stand. It works essentially the same way and appears to be solid aluminum throughout. But, I had to have it fast! lol

The Nomad has been delayed and the design had been tweaked.

Here are a few custom oak Watch Only stands:

My Grifin iPhone & :apple: Watch stand has shipped!

I will post photos when it gets here if I can figure out how to do it. 2 hours of trying yesterday on another thread produced nada, and MR has not replied to any request for help.

I don't mind the design of the Spigen stand, the only thing that I dislike about it is the lightness of the stand. It needs a more weighty base!

That was what I was thinking...but I got the idea that I could put my phone on that base anyways when I charge it so that would weigh it down the majority of the time my watch would be on it! Has anyone that bought the stand done this?

I had to show off my brand new iPhone and Apple Watch Combo Dock by metacove1!

This stand is exceptionally well built and a beautiful piece of work. From metacove1 himself:

"The charging insert was wood glued to the stand and clamped for a few hours. I then came back and pin nailed it with 1.25” pin nails to hold it in place as well. All of the pieces that meet the base were pre-drilled, countersunk and screwed with 1.625” wood screws. I precision milled and hand sanded each piece one at a time."

This thing is gorgeous and even has a groves to hide the cables. It does work best on the Link Bracelet or any bands that are closed. Great product from a great guy! DM him directly if you're interested. Shipping was quick and he was always accessible via email with questions.

Now for the goods! For your viewing pleasure:

Love how he packages his docks though. I got scared at first, thought the dock was going to be the size of a toaster oven.

I got the same one.

How well does the watch sit without a stand? Is it pretty much necessary?

And how does a stand, like the Spigen aluminium one, work when a band draps low enough to rub against it?

I really like this on, looks very well made. Just wish the footprint was a bit smaller. The space where I have my iPhone stand is not that big and this would not fit. If the watch stand part was moved more over to the left, a bit behind the phone area, cutting down the length would be perfect for me.

That's the same boat I'm in. I bought one and it's too big for my desk. I'll sell it for $40 shipped if someone's interested. PM me

I'm super happy with the way these are turning out. These are made out of solid red oak. The joints to the base were pre-drilled and screwed together.

The stained prototype above had the charging port cut by hand. The final versions will be precision milled on a CNC machine. I anticipate sending out some of the natural finish ones tomorrow. The stained and polyurethaned ones will take a few days to cure before shipping.

Hey metacove im interested in one of the custom stands you have for the iphone and watch. How can I go about getting one?

He usually responds to DM. He took a break from making them for a couple of weeks but he mentioned last week that he'll be back in his shop again soon to make more. I was trying to order a 2nd stand.
