You don't actually need a stand. The band on the watch will hold the band up, naturally.

Apple took advantage of this and created Night Stand Mode.
It's quick, simple, always works, and you don't need extra parts or docks or anything.

Use Night Stand Mode without a dock :)

If you absolutely must defeat the purpose and simplicity of Apple's intention, please check this thread, I'm sure it will be to your liking! https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/apple-watch-stands-pics-and-links-inside.1856503/

Unless you place your AW on some protecting mat. You will scratch AW when you move it along the table when look for AW in the dark.
An AW stand with silicon protecting surface will minimize scratch, specially SS AW.

And also just like buying other accessories in the bed room, a nicely well built high end AW stand also looks good in the bed room, rather than have AW on the table with ugly cable stick out from the top of AW. Having cable after cable stick out of night stand just does not look good in the bed room.

I was at the Apple Store today and they had a couple of the Fortes so I picked one up. I was just using the SS watch box previously. I am very much liking this stand, glad I held out as long as I did.

Looks really nice. Hoping the arrive in the UK soon.

How badly do you have to bend the cable to fit? It looks like it requires close to a 90 degree bend.

Is there any cusion to where the band has to sit?

Yes you do have to bend the cable a bit, close to 90 degrees. But no issues this far. No cusion, but the whole thing is made out of soft rubber so that really isn't necessary in my opinion.

That's nearly perfect, but I'd like to know if they have a cushioned lip on the interior of the top to prevent the watch/band from making contact with that metal rim.

It's not a metal rim, I emailed Sena with a that question and they said it's faux metal. I was hoping it wasn't metal. After they replied to me I placed the order instantly :)

To me it's the perfect design for home use and travel. They also offer it with a $10 discount for pre-orders and will hopefully ship mid November. I've pre-ordered from them before for other products and they always ship on time.

Even if faux metal, it may scratch the band/watch. They seemed to be the only ones to realize that the watch should be fully cusioned with some microfiber/suede material, but it looks like they may have missed that small detail. I am sure some travel jarring may dislodge the watch from the magnetic charger. I suppose we could wrap the watch in a little towel before putting the lid on, but that may become tedious.

I agree with what you are saying and hope this FauxMetal looks like metal but won't scratch like metal. Good idea like you said to wrap or roll a microfibre cloth around the watch when/if the watch is in the case. Looking forward to getting the Case :)

I've read through some, not all, of these posts and I am looking for a do it all in one stand that will hold and charge or have nice cord capability to charge:

ipad air 2
Apple watch
6s+

All I see on Amazon are the bamboo variety and while nice, not sure I want that look.

Is there a consensus favorite here among the group?

ALLDOCK does all of that. We just launched a Kickstarter campaign for ALLDOCK. I'll be happy to answer your questions :)

My local Apple Stores still didn't have it in the weekend so I ordered through the online store and hopefully it will be delivered tomorrow.

My Forte Stand has arrived!

Initial impressions:
- The box is poorly made with glue not completely dried
- The stand itself is well made, and surprisingly quite heavy - a stand should be safe! That's good.
- Will test later today and take some pics of it.

Anyone in the UK they do very attractive international shipping rates I get it to £72.31 including VAT delivered to your door.

I would _definitely_ have this on my Christmas present list if I did any sort of travel/ staying in hotels etc.
Absolutely gorgeous product, a lot of thought gone into this product.
Great video marketing too. (although I think that 'amber' video ^ above gets 1st prize for that, for a number of reasons).
Really looking forward to reviews already have a feeling they will be _glowing_.
Those ultra thin iphone 6 cases look tempting too!
Saved bookmark.
thank jvj
