We're all unaware of the strength of the magnet that is the charger, but if it is strong enough to hold up the watch, with the band attached, I believe a great charging stand would be one which makes the watch appear like it is floating. Just have a base akin to the iMac's, but put a sticky-gel covered suction cup (like that on iOttie iPhone car mounts) on the bottom, so the stand doesn't move around at all, or fall over. The base comes up and into a narrow rod which then holds the charger at the end, so that when the watch is attached to the magnetic charger, it simply looks like the watch is basically floating, without anything around it. I think this would be the coolest looking type of stand.

It's a nice stand, but I don't like how there is a gap between the bottom of the phone and the charger.

It appears that it is fully adjustable to accommodate different cases.

I am even fine with the price my main concern is that they are claiming a July delivery and I am worried I wouldn't see it until Christmas.

I like the Pad & Quill, but not sure I'd like the cable routed up like it is. Why not route it down?

I won't bother with a stand but, when choosing one, consider this --- Does it require you to hold the stand with one hand and place the Watch on it with the other (same with removing it) or can you do that with just one hand? If it's flimsy, etc, it will move around a lot and simply fall over as you try to get the Watch on there.

It will need a heavy base. Those that want a stand will also want the stand to be oriented a certain way and it'd be irritating if it just moved around and got wobbly as you put the Watch on it.

Also, if you do a crowd funding one, it could be a looooooong time to get it, and you'll be watching as nicer, less expensive ones come out in the meantime. I got nailed with the Kickstarter Elevation Dock this way. Never again.

And Id prefer something I can get used to right away. not wait a month or more to find out that it sucks and then go looking for something else.
Ill find one at a B+M so i can try it on launch

Nudock Apple Watch & iPhone Docking Station

Been looking around for an apple watch and iphone docking station and just gone for the Nudock one on indiegogo it is a little on the pricey side £106 delivered to the UK.

However it seems to offer a lot of perks to other stands. Additional charging ports, light, and battery pack.

Anybody else going for this option?

I'm on the fence. It's crowdfunded and that concerns me as to when it will actually reach backers. August could become December. It almost looks tgtbt.

Nice, but not good for travel as it doesn't fold flat.

[EDIT: Actually, most of these aren't. Portability is just one aspect of these things]

----------

Suspicious that they say it is 'compatible' with larger iPads and iPad mini - surely if you charged one of them the watch wouldn't fit on the wooden bar?

For those looking at crowdfunded options (Indiegogo and Kickstarter), if you have not shopped there before, keep in mind that their shipping/availability dates are estimates. From my experience, projects rarely come out on time.

Just an FYI...
