My first time pre-ordering through Best Buy - but my date says Sept. 23rd and they just charged my CC: the AppleCare+ I had on the order. No more visibility than that so will seee…

About the accommodating text…I’m pretty sure it’s regarding the carrier but wouldn’t it be great if we could schedule them for in-store pick-up once they’re shipped. That hold for pickup sounds very ambiguous, so I’m not counting it out just yet haha.
This guy seems to have gotten an ultra for review? Doesnt seem like the footage is from the event.
Maybe someone could translate a summery haha. Curious what they say about battery life.

Well, it's not just that. Apple has to be ready to support a new product. Their support teams may need time to get ready. Plus, with iPhone coming out Friday, they don't want to overload Apple support with three new products (Airpods too) too close to each other.
For those interested, I was just able to buy the Ultra on Amazon and they had a '5 monthly payments' option right there on the page. Looks like they just charge the first payment plus the tax upon shipment. Doesn't give a delivery date as of yet but seeing that I didn't have to charge it to not have to pay all that at once made me pull the trigger.
Mine is also preparing to ship and pending charge on Apple Card! Honestly I'm kind of excited about the watch!
I just ordered my Ultra today from Verizon. Shipping date of December 9th 😕. Here's hoping it will be earlier than that. Trading in my series 5 watch for it. Verizon giving more for it than Apple.
December 9th. That's how far out the shipping date has become! In reality, you can't say whether it's the watch's popularity or Apple simply didn't produce enough.
I have an 9/30 to 10/7 delivery date from apple, just looked at best buy‘s site and they show the ultra with the green medium alpine loop available for 9/23 delivery!! Says not available for pickup. How well do they hold to that date? I know apple does but a little worried about BB. Should I order it and cancel my apple order?

I wonder if they misinterpreted their NDA... Awesome to see it in a non-event setting, though.
No movement on my shipping yet. Wasn’t expecting anything until maybe Monday. As some have said, these might already be stateside.
Why don't you get the Ultra and then trade in for when the Ultra 2 comes out? I never understood the logic of waiting a year because the next one 'may' have an upgrade that you are looking for? If it was coming out in a few months then I could understand it but 1 year is too long for me.Maaaaaaannn I’m jealous… shouldn’t have cancelled my Ultra orderI keep going back and forth on whether I should get it or wait for an SoC upgrade with Ultra 2
Trade-in / resale values for watches nicer than the basic aluminum ones are terrible though.
Highly doubt it. I had to order with the alpine loop to get my Ultra next Friday. Did order two separate Trail bands but are on back order till November 3rd at the earliest.
