I got a note to say payment had failed (no idea why) so tried again online and no matter what card or device I used, the verification step with my bank just got stuck in a loop so I had to phone them and pay online instead.

Never had this issue thankfully, but its nice that there's a process in place. You just know that if it was "some third party stores", that you'd be at the back of the queue.
Just had the push notification from AMEX to say my card has been charged just as my 14 Pro Max arrived. Nice.

I think it might have been because I paid using Apple Pay - the agent was saying there's sometimes an issue with pre-authorisations taken via Apple Pay when they come to charge the full amount at a later date.
The best way is to use MyChoice on the UPS app. It should appear in your list of upcoming packages, assumed you are registered and have MyChoice. You also can log into the website and use your phone number as a reference number, though sometimes that only gives you the last 4 digits of the tracking number. But it lets you know status at least.
Yeah but I expect you will get that on the 23rdCard just charged and status perparing for shipping. Czech Republic, delivery Sep 26! I have feeling that AW comes earlier
I am in the same spot as you are with this whole thing. I ordered from Best Buy, but I am NOT trusting that it is going to be there or come on time next Friday. We will see. They are giving me more for my watch than other places, though.
Like you I have limited faith in my Best Buy order - though they did pre-charge my card for the applecare+ amount exactly today. If it comes before 9/30 then will be a win - as that was the date I got on my pre-order even though I got into the apple order banks early. Like others have said - the bands are the constraint and I ordered the worst one - Alpine Orange.
Ultimately, I will get my watch before or about the same time I would have from Apple…

OK, got my new 14 ProMax today, now I need my Ultra! They charged me late yesterday but if tracking is anything like the iPhone tracking you wont get any help from Apple as my iPhone showed preparing to ship until late yesterday when it had already left China and was in my home city, Jacksonville.
Apple should consider restricting their return policies: doing this makes the devices more expensive for all of us.
And hurts the availability for launch day.
If they ship UPS then we will know it through UPS My Choice. Seems like I have gotten a few watches by Fed-Ex but I hope not.

Anyone else watching their tracking? Search by reference finally pulled my order, also meaning it was showing in MyChoice.
