The braided charging cable is very nice too bad it doesn't come with a original USB-C but I'm still planning on using 5W Apple charger. Is that weird? Is anyone else doing the same thing as me?
An Apple Genius Bar tech once scolded me for using charging cables and brinks that didn't come with my Apple devices, he said I was running the risk of slowly damaging the battery.

The braided cable is a usb-c though by the looks of it.

There is nothing wrong with using the 5W charger, especially for overnight charging cycles.

For me coming from my S5 Ceramic, i will love the new charging speed given, especially since i want to transition to wearing 24/7 except during showers and the drive to work. I plan to try to keep it constantly between 30-80% for optimal battery longevity.

How tho? When Apple themselves is selling the 5W Apple charger along with the charging cable. It's slow charging and doesn't hear the battery life with fast charging. I'm all in for fast charging but it does over-heats the battery at times. Isn't slow charging the device is the best??

That makes no sense at all. Because the devices themselves have detection and charging protection built in. I think that was just a stigma created by those super low quality 3rd party accesories.

I'm sorry. I meant to say USB cable. Not USB-C.

Speed of charging is important when it comes to the heat generated, faster charging produces more heat, but also more heat is produced and degradation occurs as you push towards 100%. So charging faster to 80% or so, is still better than repeatedly slow charging to 100%.

Make sure it is not the band that is holding up you watch as they have no stock of the Trail bands and it will delay your watch for sure.
I ordered mine from Verizon and have a delivery date of December 😢. I don't know if anyway to change it from the trail loop except to completely cancel my order and I don't know if that will put it further back.

Thank you for this. So, we are getting slight more screen usage. Nice!
I thought that was true, but looking at the images of the displays about halfway down this page it looks like the Ultra doesn't display any more information on the display, it is only displaying the same information in a larger (magnified) size.

The ultra is like 23 square millimeters bigger, so not much but it’s nice and flat and has decent edge protection. Being twice as bright as the s8 I am sure there is a definite difference in how it ”looks” AWU FTW! He he

The "thickness" or height goes from 10.7 to 14.4 mm high. My 45mm S7 is a tight fit under some shirts. I'm wondering whether the Ultra will be enough bigger that it will become problematic with some shirts (and not just shirts with button cuffs). Even jackets might be an issue. I have a few jackets that won't go back over my AW if I reach for something and the AW "pops out" of the jacket sleeve. This is one of the things that a return period is good for.

I'm hoping it works. The Ultra has a lot of really great features and functions. Even the price is attractive, at least compared to the S7 Edition AWs in titanium. IIRC, they were $50 more than the Ultra, which makes the Ultra seem like a bargain or at least a good value when you compare it to the S7 AWs.

From my experiences with Verizon, changing things screws things around.

Thanks for your comment. Someone posted a comparison and it looks like we are getting more screen ratio. With AW Ultra you can see more space around it.

I like overnight charging because optimized charging kicks in at 80%. With AW Ultra we're mostly charging it once a day or so.
Yea, agree, and currently I’m wearing my S4 for sleep tracking but will use the S7 for that in the future. Only when I’m traveling I use fast charging as I don’t take my 2nd watch on trips
