M/L Black/Grey for in-store pickup in the Los Angeles area went from Dec 12 to Nov 22. Getting closer, haha!!

My Apple order is still 11/04 to 11/18.

Amazon is still 10/18 to 11/09.

I think I’ve got the spread covered, haha!!

Yeah Apple might be catching up a little now. I am hopeful that it might come forward by a couple more weeks and then I can look forward to an end of October delivery

So I ordered a black/grey trail loop last week and it was gong to be delivered 15 Nov to 22 Nov

I just checked the Apple Store and it's now delivering 7 Nov to 14 Nov.

No change in delivery dates to my original order...
What size did you get it in?

S/M

The M/L is delivering a week later 15 Nov to 22 Nov.
how do you find fit. Any issues with putting on? Or fitting your hand through the band to put on? I remember you said the small alpine loop had some issues and that’s why you were going to get the medium size. So just wonder if there is the same issue with the small trail loop band.

The band stretches out to the gap between the second and their Velcro strip and the end tab touches the watch. But because it’s soft, there is no danger of damaging the watch case.

The size s alpine clasp was titanium and it would bang against the watch case. With the new medium I got, I can stretch out the band big enough to fit my hand so the clasp stays well away

Ok thanks for the pics. My wrist is similar size to yours. So just trying to confirm sizes. i think I will get the same size in the alpine loop and trail loop that you have. I know when I tried on the small alpine loop it was pain to take off and put on but when I tried the medium it was fine.

I ordered a Blue Gray Trail Loop M/L band only along with my Ultra with the Orange Alpine Loop on Keynote day. Was given a 11/2 - 11/6 delivery date and it went to 10/26 - 11/1. I got a UPS shipping notice today with a 2-day Air and delivery date for Monday 10/17 from Apple. I don’t have any other outstanding orders and the band shows as still processing on the Apple Store. Not sure if it shipped and the Apple Store will go straight to shipped. Shipment coming from AI in Compton, CA. Never had something come from there but I’m hoping it’s the band.

I exchanged my watch for one with the yellow/beige trail loop yesterday. It’s super comfortable and I prefer it much more than the ocean band I had originally.

Yep Apple always under promise and nearly always over deliver, I have a delivery date of 15 Nov to 22 Nov after the shipping time jumped forward by 17 days and I am expecting it to move forward again. I think Apple are starting to catch up and prioritise based on known demand

So I finally got my hands on the black/grey trail loop for AWU - from London Brompton Road branch! I got really lucky :) It is stunning, the best band by far for AWU.

That is really lucky. I’m surprised they had it in stock by itself. They’re still showing as availability for November. I keep checking for stock in the Apple stores here in London as my preorder is showing as shipping November 5th to 12th.

Ok thanks for the pics. My wrist is similar size to yours. So just trying to confirm sizes. i think I will get the same size in the alpine loop and trail loop that you have. I know when I tried on the small alpine loop it was pain to take off and put on but when I tried the medium it was fine.

I have both Alpine and Trail Loops and mine fit almost exactly as in @Boardiesboi's pictures. My wrist appears to be just slightly larger, as the Alpine Loop fastens one stop down from theirs and the Trail Loop closes right at the center underside of my wrist. That's with a medium Alpine and a S/M Trail.

If the medium Alpine Loop fit you similarly, I think you should consider the M/L Trail. The Trail is an odd duck because it comes in S/M and M/L just like the Sport Loop, and is indicated to fit the same size wrists in mm, but the Trail Loop is shorter than the Sport Loop. This makes it a bit of a squeeze to get my hand through the loop and also causes the fastener to fall in the most undesirable location, right at the underside of the wrist. The S/M Sport Loops, which again are for wrists with the same measurements, do not have either problem because they are about an inch longer.

I ordered my watch the Trail Loop and on experiencing the tight fit of the S/M, attempted to exchange the band. I had planned to get an Alpine Loop anyway so was going to swap for that one since Trails are not yet in stores. Unfortunately, I learned from the retail staff that Apple has not given them a way to swap bands on the Ultra specifically -- they can do it for the other watches -- so I would have had to return the entire Ultra to swap the band it came with. Wasn't going to do that, so I'm using the S/M but wishing it were a M/L.

Anyway, choose wisely! :)

Nah I like the S/M trail loop. Any bigger the pull tab will wrap all the way around and touch the watch case.
I am torn between the S/M or getting M/L I have a 177MM wrist and felt that the S/M was difficult to get on/off then you mentioned it wrapping around which has me thinking 🤣
