how do you find fit. Any issues with putting on? Or fitting your hand through the band to put on? I remember you said the small alpine loop had some issues and that’s why you were going to get the medium size. So just wonder if there is the same issue with the small trail loop band.
The S/M Trail Loop fit on my 165mm wrist with the orange tab bottom center, probably as Apple intended. On the other hand, it was exceptionally difficult to get it over my thumb joint. I returned it for a M/L, which turns out to be roughly the same length as the regular Sport Loop.

Nah I like the S/M trail loop. Any bigger the pull tab will wrap all the way around and touch the watch case.
165mm wrist here wearing M/L Trail Loop. I have probably 1.25"/3cm of the lower part of the band exposed between the end of the loop that you pull back and "stick down" and the titanium end bar. The end of the loop is nowhere near the watch case even on my smaller wrist.

Edited to add a pic. (It's hard to take a photo of the back side of your wrist.). You can see the lighter gray edge of the end of the loop on the right side behind the orange pull tab. As stated, I have 165mm wrists and this M/L Trail Loop is pulled tight so that I get consistent HR readings when I work out. (It's also a very comfortable band to wear.)

Anyones black trail band order moved forward today? Orders of the ultra with the black trail bands are two weeks shorter that ordering the band separately?

Has anyone had success walking into an Apple Store and finding just the band for sale in any of the colors? I know the website and what's in the store aren't always on the same page.

There was one in a store 30 miles from me but I was working from home so I didn’t bother trying to get it. They do filter free but they don’t day in the stores for long

I was going to order the trail loop but dug out my series 4 Nike band and it looks pretty similar? What do you think?
Yes, it does look similar. The main difference is the end links on the trail loop are color matched to the titanium and the comfort. I also own the Nike sport band and the trail loop is much more comfy. I think the trail loop looks a nice also.

I added a side by side the best that I could. I highly recommend this loop. And to think I did regret ordering my watch with the trail loop since I had the Nike one but the trail loop is probably my most comfortable band that I own now.

Got mine ordered from Verizon. Showed up that I could place the order after refreshing daily. Will see if it actually ships and delivered by the date shown.

I seem to be in the minority, but I’m just not finding the trail loop to be all that great for running for me.

My wrist is 167mm, and the small loop fits fine. But I‘m finding the light weight and nature of the material makes the watch feel unbalanced on my wrist, even when tightly secured. I seem to get more dropouts and spikes in heart rate readings while running with the trail loop than I do wearing the ocean band.

Given that I’d only wear the trail loop while working out, I think the standard sport loop may be the better option for me.
I actually noticed the same. The Ocean Band made the watch feel much more secure, and reduced the movement in the wrist.

They were never available from the launch of the Ultra. Even preordering the watch with a Trail Loop when the preorders went live the earliest ship dates were late October and the bands on their own were showing November dates which they still are. There has been the odd one showing up in certain Apple stores for sale. I don’t we’ll see regular availability until next month at the earliest. I have a S/M one on preorder showing a ship date between November 5th and 12th right now.

Yeah I’ve seen no further movement on mine in over a week now.

Crazy that we still cant get this band. I just ordered one yesterday from apple (Yellow/Beige) and will not deliver until 11/9

I was thinking the same thing. Of the 3 specific Ultra wristbands, the trail loop seems to be the hardest to come by. Why? The trail loop isn't too much different from the sports loop so one would think in terms of ease of production it wouldn't be any harder than producing the sports loop. Perhaps the most unusual one is the alpine loop (or arguably the ocean band) and both are much more readily available.

Yes but there could easily be a production issue, material issue (supply, quality control etc). We’ll never know. What we do know is the people on eBay paying £200+ are brave brave souls.
