I was going to order the trail loop but dug out my series 4 Nike band and it looks pretty similar? What do you think?
Functionally very similar. As someone else pointed out, the TL fabric is a little different - "softer" is probably the best word. Also, I have to say that the titanium hardware is somewhat reassuring. I've never had a problem with a Sport Loop but I have sometimes wondered if some day one of those molded-on plastic ends is just going to come apart. It will probably never happen, but it still crosses my mind.

As a matter of pure esthetics, there are a lot of really good looking Sport and Nike Sport Loops available. My personal favorites right now are the dark blue Nike "Just Do It" Loop and the Nike version of the Pride loop (multi-color lines). The Trail Loops are great, but they're not very visually interesting.

Can someone that has the Medium/Large Trail loop tell me the measurements from lug to lug, please?

I'm trying to find out if it's comparable to the Large Alpine loop.

I'd be interested to know that too. Got both sizes on order for the trail loop as I'm reading conflicted size advice. The medium alpine is perfect for me.

For a knock off this band is nice not sure if there’s any difference as I don’t have the Apple one to compare to

Looks like a fair amount of difference. The Trail Loop is rounded at the end, looks to be thinner, has much better finished sides and edges, and finer stitching. That's definitely a cheap imitation. Doesn't mean it wasn't worth the money or that you shouldn't like it, of course.

I have the same trail loop that came with my ultra. Looks different actually. I use s/m and even on my small wrist the orange strap doesn’t wrap around that close to the watch. Did you get a bigger size? Mine stays put right under the middle bottom of my wrist. As per pics I can tell the differences. The apple has better stitching and more flat surface.

Can you maybe measure the size of the s/m band?

I'm trying to find out if it's comparable to the Large Alpine loop.

The M/L Trail Loop is 24cm overall but the actual usable length is ~21.5cm because the pull tab prevents the titanium bar from sliding all the way to the end.

For comparison, the Sport and Nike Sport Loops are 24cm long and the you can use the full length.

Also, the lugs are very, very probably not titanium.
I'm voting with you on that.

I had the S/M Trail Loop. It was a great fit on my 165mm wrist, with the pull tab centered under the AWU. However, I had a lot of trouble getting it off. It was very tight going over my thumbs. It was annoying enough that I came to the conclusion that I was going to wind up replacing it ($99), and since it was within the return period I returned it for a M/L version.

Thanks for your reply. I have a 170mm wrist, and had both sizes on order, but cancelled the s/m now.

I was actually a little annoyed about the sizing. 😌 Based on the sizing information, the S/M was a perfect fit, and in real life it was...other than the fact that it was a PITA to get on or (especially) to get off. 🤷‍♂

So they really can't make enough of these bands, I mean they are pumped out of a China factory, there is not that may people buying the ultra and wanting another band, 1 month wait seems ridiculous for a $150AUD band lol

Curious - why this band seems so popular? Is it really comfortable? For some reason, I can’t get into the looks of it, but have not seen one in person, just pics. Not dissing it at all.
