I will let you know on Friday as soon I get mine delivered. If that is the case, I will return mine for sure.Don’t get your hopes up…chances are you will actually receive the Blue/Gray from TMo. Myself and others have.
Just received the $20 amazon band. Feels very oem. See pics.I’m going to try an Amazon knockoff. Search amazon app for “Rain gold Trail Loop Bands”. Click the blue/grey model and there is a review showing a few pictures. It will arrive this Wednesday. I’ll post pics. My apple band still says October 26 - November 1 for delivery, but still in processing status.
Which Small Loop you mean? ThanksI seem to be in the minority, but I’m just not finding the trail loop to be all that great for running for me.
My wrist is 167mm, and the small loop fits fine. But I‘m finding the light weight and nature of the material makes the watch feel unbalanced on my wrist, even when tightly secured. I seem to get more dropouts and spikes in heart rate readings while running with the trail loop than I do wearing the ocean band.
Given that I’d only wear the trail loop while working out, I think the standard sport loop may be the better option for me.
Question: I still struggle which size with trail loop. I have between 157 mm and 162mm wrist - better choose trail loop in S/M or M/L? Thanks for your helpThe band stretches out to the gap between the second and their Velcro strip and the end tab touches the watch. But because it’s soft, there is no danger of damaging the watch case.
The size s alpine clasp was titanium and it would bang against the watch case. With the new medium I got, I can stretch out the band big enough to fit my hand so the clasp stays well away

And stretched out trail loop
So what’s your wrist in mm? Curious as I used alpine in M and had it closed in strap 4, sometimes 3 - like boardiesboiI have both Alpine and Trail Loops and mine fit almost exactly as in @Boardiesboi's pictures. My wrist appears to be just slightly larger, as the Alpine Loop fastens one stop down from theirs and the Trail Loop closes right at the center underside of my wrist. That's with a medium Alpine and a S/M Trail.
If the medium Alpine Loop fit you similarly, I think you should consider the M/L Trail. The Trail is an odd duck because it comes in S/M and M/L just like the Sport Loop, and is indicated to fit the same size wrists in mm, but the Trail Loop is shorter than the Sport Loop. This makes it a bit of a squeeze to get my hand through the loop and also causes the fastener to fall in the most undesirable location, right at the underside of the wrist. The S/M Sport Loops, which again are for wrists with the same measurements, do not have either problem because they are about an inch longer.
I ordered my watch the Trail Loop and on experiencing the tight fit of the S/M, attempted to exchange the band. I had planned to get an Alpine Loop anyway so was going to swap for that one since Trails are not yet in stores. Unfortunately, I learned from the retail staff that Apple has not given them a way to swap bands on the Ultra specifically -- they can do it for the other watches -- so I would have had to return the entire Ultra to swap the band it came with. Wasn't going to do that, so I'm using the S/M but wishing it were a M/L.
Anyway, choose wisely!

Check it when it arrives as people that have been ordering Black/Grey from T-Mobile have been receiving the Blue/GreyTrail loop coming tomorrow - M/L black / grey. Finally! Purchased from T-Mobile (thanks for the heads up there). Canceled my orders from Apple. Still trying to decide if I want to keep the Ocean Band I purchased (in addition to the Alpine band that came with it). I really like the Ocean Band too.
Oh wow, can I contain my excitement as my M/L Black/Grey trail loop from Apple has jumped forward from the 15th November to the 14th….a whole day
Really?? That will be a disappointment. Well, if I get the Blue/Grey guess I'll have to decide if I want to keep it. I've waiting this long for the Trail Loop, I guess I can wait a couple more weeks for the Black/Grey. I'm definitely keeping the Ocean Band too then!Check it when it arrives as people that have been ordering Black/Grey from T-Mobile have been receiving the Blue/Grey

Which band size and how many mm is your wrist size? Looks great!By far the best band Apple had made! Loving mine after almost two weeks. Still getting use to the size of the watch, but love the band.
I have both the Ocean band and Alpine loop. I don't understand what you mean by "sticks out a bit due to the lugs". Can you say more?I know the ocean band is probably best for small wrists. I’ve tried the alpine which sticks out a bit due to the lugs. Wondering if the trail loop sticks out as much as the alpine or is somewhere between the ocean and alpine. Thanks for any input.

Hmm...it might feel very OEM but does not look OEM at all. Look at how the band is sewn on to the bottom lug. Instead of wrapping the fabric so that the seam is hidden, the seam is showing. That to me makes the band looks like you're wearing it "inside out".
If people are happy with the cheap knock offs then that’s fine. Personally I wouldn’t be as they’re definitely not the same quality nor do they look identical to the official Apple ones.
