Do you mean you're going running in a downpour? They are sweat-resistant, so they should be perfectly fine for running as long as you're not getting drenched.

Well, i am a heavy sweater so ipx in that regard in terms of peace of mind and as far as precipitation is concerned, i love running in the rain but would probably limit beats buds/airpod pro 2 use to drizzly conditions.

Think they’d be fine?…

It's weird to me that people even physically plug in the AirPod case to charge them.. lol.

EarPods wired the best (outside of exercise). Wireless stuff = too overhyped. Cmon ppl let’s keep the signals down! Airplane mode the best!!!!

I love my AirPods Pro 2 for the convenience and the software features but it’s a little frustrating that you can get VASTLY superior sound quality from wired earbuds that cost less than $10. The world of earphones, headphones and earbuds - wireless and otherwise - is huge, highly competitive and filled with dozens of examples that put the entire AirPods line to shame.

I really wish AirPods Pro were actual high end phones. At the prices Apple charges for them the audio quality just isn’t up to snuff.
I’d love to know specifically which wired earbuds sound VASTLY superior. For <$10 I’d take that gamble.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there no such thing? I was under the impression that Magsafe was introduced before USB-C, and has been included in all APP2?
Stand corrected.
The magsafe feature was included with the original APP through the current USB-C model.

I think eventually they will, but they have to get the sales from all the suckers who decide to upgrade from lightning to USB-C first.
First of all, Apple released the USB C case a little while ago.
And I just upgraded. Why am I a sucker?
And BTW, I'm sure you know the new features of the usb c version other than the physical usb c port. Clue: has to do with lossless audio.

I’m waiting for Apple to release a quality MagSafe charger as their current one is not great.

The cable should not be integrated. The puck should have a USB-C port and allow you to connect a 1m or 2m braided charge cable.

It was a joke dude relax lol.

Fortunately, the second-generation model doesn't seem to have this problem. My first gens were replaced seven times under the service program due to the crackling. I bought the second gens a year ago for $170 during a New Year's sale in Japan, and have been very satisfied. Highly recommended.
I unfortunately have a pair of AirPod Pros (gen1) with this issue. It started happening just outside of the 1 year mark, and I didn't have any Apple Care associated with them. The other downside was they weren't great for running either in terms of fit, and the crackling was made worse with each step. It also became hard for people to hear me on the mic unfortunately, compared to when I first got them.

My original AirPods also had to be replaced within 3 months, due to a faulty speaker. I took it to the Apple store and they swapped them out then and there, and I was out in 15 minutes without Apple Care. No issues with that replacement pair to this day. They just don't fit as good as the Pros though, nor sound or fit as good.

That said, given my gym goals for this year to step it up, I decided to give the Beats Fit Pro a go as of yesterday. So far, loving the sound and easy pairing just like the AirPods/APP. They rest in my ears easier, and the tangible feeling of a button when I use the controls also seems more satisfying. The bass also sounds a bit more richer for EDM, hiphop, and other sorts of music I listen to. The noise cancellation isn't quite up to the AirPods Pro standard, but doesn't matter much unless I'm not listening to anything.

I'm just hoping to not have to buy earbuds for a long while. Here's hoping!

They do: $99. In the Apple online store, look up MagSafe Charging Case (USB-C) for AirPods Pro (2nd generation).
Interesting. I totally missed this.

Update: Just noticed it comes with a USB-C cable. That makes it even more attractive. Wasn’t expecting that.

I tried the Jabra. Not nearly as good as the APP.
APP are great for middle of the road, 'don't care how it sounds' listening, and calls. My partner loves his APP, and I think they're about as good as an old pair of AWA's.

Jabra Elite 75's, for example, have far better bass, an equaliser which you can set for various music types, and 'find my Jabra's'.
