AirPods Pro 2023 is a winner which ticks all the checkboxes with accumulative refinements over the years, the drawbacks were enough to make me buy several Beats earphones instead before settling with current APP.

The original APP was okay, but few hiccups that for me became a turnoff. Now it has improved H2 chip, ANC/Transparency + adaptive mode, complete on-buds buttons (volume rocker, finally!), excellent wireless charging (MagSafe or AW puck) and of course the final closure; USB-C port.

It's weird to me that people even physically plug in the AirPod case to charge them.. lol.
Nonetheless you get the option. Even weirder if the plug is an ancient Lightning port (which should be dead 3 years ago). So, USB-C is the very reason I finally enjoy using the APP after I bought (and returned) the original.

Jabra Elite’s kick these out of the park.
Have you done side by side ?

And would that be Elite I, II or III

in witch ways ? ... controll, battery life, sound quality, integration, price, noicecancling or ?

I have Jabra 85T also (not the Elite, I II or III and yes they are old) but i like apples more.

Really wanted to nab these AirPods Pro 2 at this price point but I just can’t do it after trying them on at an Apple Store yesterday. The volume control requires holding the stem then sliding with another finger but I’ll be running and that’s just clumsy. I was hoping it was a simple swipe up and down gesture using only one finger. Probably replace my old beats buds with beats buds plus in the translucent color way.

Side note, I told the employee who said he’s been working with the company for many yrs now that I hope the new AirPods Max have water resistance and his guess was they’ll be keeping it in-doors premium : (

Glad you’re enjoying your purchase but I’m still waiting for the perfect wireless Apple-approved headphones lol

…one for running so small, another for trips and full immersion plus wired studio capability. ..

I don’t know what can Apple do physically to fit in more controls to the AirPods body. It’s essentially buttonless buds in such a small enclosure while qualifies IP54?

I use my APP for running too and it’s decent. Yes the control can be finicky because you have to be precise with the gestures?

My old Beats Fit Pro is better for workout but build quality is lacking because the rubber wings start peeling at the seams in just 18 months of use. So yeah I’d take APP with a few compromises.

I read the update will only be the port, switching to USB-C. Nothing else.
I really love the Max, and also got the AirPods Pro 2 (USB-C) when these went on sale for $189 at Amazon back in November.

My friend got a pair of some new Bose earphones that have more bass, he swears these are better than the AirPods Pro 2. I tried them but while these do have more bass, I think the AirPods Pro 2 sound more natural.
I have no impulse control, so I went ahead and ordered these because I think it might be nice to keep my regular AirPods in the car/office and have these for home, but now that I've ordered them, Amazon can't deliver them for three days, so now I'm second-guessing myself!

I use my Max at home. Actually I have one in the office and another one in the bedroom. The AirPods Pro 2 go everywhere I go.

LOL if anything that only adds headaches about how to charge them? I'm focusing merely on transitioning all my devices to USB-C. So I'm starting to sell or give away my Lightning accessories. I wouldn't keep anything with Lightning port on it. I'd rather wait and buy a 4th gen AirPods or something.

You can. It’s on their website and app for $99..
Yes, thanks. Someone pointed that out earlier. After some thought, I will wait for my AirPods to die or get AirPods Pro 3 when they come out. Very cheeky of Apple to release the standalone case at a later date but I guess not surprising.
