I think the tanning process is not great environmentally.Well, on one hand, great efforts for recycling. On the other hand, there are a great many hides available due to love of beef (or sheep, pork, kangaroo) that can be used.
I am fairly certain Apple does not kill cattle, dispose of the beef and only use the hide to make iPhone and iPad covers . . .
Are they still carbon sinks when they burn in a wild fire due to poor management?I live near those carbon credits location. 50% of my house is surrounded by them. When I asked about them there’s no information it’s considered private enterprises. But then after digging deeper I found out these are carbon neutral trees. But the problem These Stupid greedy owners don’t care and they let weeds and everything else overrun the land because they’re making money on it and they can’t chop down these trees because they’re making lots of money per month with them. These things are a pain in the ass.
Return it and get your money back. Not only did I buy a "woven" case, I also purchased the wallet to go with it, also woven. almost $100 in crap. I am so pissed.
Just curious. Did you ever have the Apple leather case before this one?I must be the only person in this thread that actually likes the fw case. I like the softness of the material, and it fits my iPhone 15 pro like a glove. No complaints (other than the price tag)!
Because Vegan Leather is plastic.I'm wondering why they just didn't go with vegan leather as the replacement for the leather case. Many auto manufacturers use this and in some instances, the vegan leather is more durable than the real thing (speaking from experience, my 2011 car has synthetic leather and it still looks great).
So because I bought it, didn't like it and returned it and then posted about my experience with the case, I'm a malcontent?Every single Apple product has had malcontents crawling out from under rocks. This time is no different.
we mock them for the wheels on the pro, they at least do there job, this case is so trash it should never have left the factory with there logo on it
To be honest, my iPhone 13 Pro with an Apple silicon case also has the pentalobe screw partially visible on both sides of the Lightning port.
I am not defending the Finewoven case, but why I don't see complaints about this in other apple cases?
I’m talking about the trees that they buy to replace the carbon admissions that they give off. The trees are OK but the problem is that they don’t take care of the these Properties that it’s treason on.Are they still carbon sinks when they burn in a wild fire due to poor management?
Smaller companies have already started to develop and apply this technology. A $300 retro android gaming device with a 7” OLED screen already has it.I’m pretty sure for everyone that approaches Apple with a new bleeding edge tech the conversation abruptly stops at, “Great, so can we count on you for 200 million of these in the first year?”
No case! Blasphemer!!!! All hail the otter box.Scrap them, Apple. Go back to leather for people that want it. (I don't use any case myself)
Yes, in fact all my previous iPhone cases were leather. I did try using an Apple silicone case a couple of years ago but hated it because it was lint magnet. I do miss the leather cases, but so far fw has proven to be a good option.Just curious. Did you ever have the Apple leather case before this one?
I agree, it's not a big deal since Apple has a great return policy. I think anyone who receives this case will see in the first few minutes how poor quality it is for the price they paid. This was a misfire from Apple. They used up some of their "premium" capital on this "just okay" case. I prefer silicone anyway. I compared the two at the Apple store the other day. At first glance, the fine woven just looked like a more matte version of silicone. Apple made a mistake presenting it as premium. Anyhoo, it's good people can return them. This is a misstep, but hardly the crisis some are making it out to be.
That is the point. How many of those they sell in a year? Maybe a million? Maybe 3? Making parts for those is a completely different scale of problem than making parts for 200 million devices in a year. I’m sure Apple’s happy they sell so many devices, but the downside of that is that their supplier/parts acquisition/distribution network issues are many times greater than most other companies.Smaller companies have already started to develop and apply this technology. A $300 retro android gaming device with a 7” OLED screen already has it.
Do you usually take general comments as personal criticisms? Do you usually believe that there are only two sides to any issue, the one argued for and its diametrical opposite? If so, you may often find yourself discontented, which does tend to lead to being a malcontent. But I don’t know you and wouldn’t presume to say.So because I bought it, didn't like it and returned it and then posted about my experience with the case, I'm a malcontent?
You only want positive reviews?
