I know right? Especially after it was locked in place and literally says $78
My black leather 12.9 sleeve finally arrived.
Gonna return it to the apple store tomorrow. It's really nice ... almost too nice. I won't be able to just throw it in a backpack. And without a smart cover or keyboard, my naked iPad literally swims inside. Falls out super easily, even with the pencil in place.
Gonna keep looking for another option. Maybe the Waterfield designs one.

I always thought it won't fall out without Apple Pencil but you are confirming it. Weird this is the first person to talk about it.

I have been looking at that particular sleeve for quite a while now but decided to opt for another one.
Since i'm bringing my iPad Pro to work everything single day, i wanted a sleeve with a few pockets, to be able to fit my iPad with SmartKeyboard, Pencil but also iPhone(s), a charger and a cable or two also.
I ordered this sleeve/bag from "PackAndSmooch" a few days ago. Its from a wool felt material mostly, with some vegetable leather details:

Received my sleeve/bag from PackAndSmooch yesterday.
I'm very satisfied with it so far. The sleeve is made from a high quality wool felt material, genuine leather on the bottom, the magnetic buttons are solid and clamp on strong. And there is quite a bit of space where you can put accessories in.
I managed to put my iPad Pro 10.5 inch incl. Smart Keyboard, Pencil, a Lightning cable, small adapter and even my iPhone in. Granted, with the iPhone in also, it is a little snug but it works. Though, If you're planning to put your phone in also, be careful with the magnetic button's. Obviously they are attached on the inside also, possibly scratching your phone if you're not careful. I'd suggest not putting the phone inside, but adding something like a cleaning cloth for your iPad instead.

Just got the saddle brown sleeve for my 10.5 Space Gray with black leather Smart Cover. Looks great and the fit with the Smart Cover is perfect. My iPad will be in the sleeve when not in use. I mainly got it to protect the back of the iPad, but it is also nice to have the pencil handy. This is the first time I've used an iPad without a full cover and the decrease in weight is a definite positive.

Wow! That passed me by! Didn't know they did a leather smart cover. Love it! Unfortunately I've already bought the leather sleeve and smart keyboard. Will have to wait a while before getting one of them. Is the leather as nice as it is on the sleeve?
It's nice, but different. I think it is identical to the previous leather smart covers made by Apple for the iPads. Apple only made the Smart Cover this year and not the case (or back) at least to date.
Your sleeve looks good. I have the same on order for pickup after the holiday and seeing your color combo - it looks better than I had hoped.

Can I ask does the ASK fit inside the sleeve nicely or is it a tight fit that could stretch the leather sleeve? Also do you think the sleeve is worth getting? I'm currently deciding if I should pick up the sleeve and the ASK keyboard when I buy my iPad Pro next month (when I can finally make a trip to the far away from me Apple Store)
First off I love it. Day 1 I thought eh it’s cool but I may return it. Then as I used it more and more and handled it and took the pencil out and snapped it back in etc, I began to love it. Glad I bought it.
It’s a slightly tight fit with the ASK on, and make sure the leather protrude slightly, but not too badly. It may stretch it some after long term usage, but if you’re always going to use it with the ASK attached then what’s the big deal ya know?
Are you asking for just the iPad and ASK or pictures of them while in the sleeve? The last picture in my prior post had all 3 together
