Just to highlight another alternative I've received my harber london sleeve for my 12.9 and I think it's great! Especially as it cost me £53.90 delivered. Here are some pics with the ASK attached View attachment 706179

Nice :) Can't seem to find the 10.5 version though :(

Looking good.

I have been looking at that particular sleeve for quite a while now but decided to opt for another one.
Since i'm bringing my iPad Pro to work everything single day, i wanted a sleeve with a few pockets, to be able to fit my iPad with SmartKeyboard, Pencil but also iPhone(s), a charger and a cable or two also.

I ordered this sleeve/bag from "PackAndSmooch" a few days ago. Its from a wool felt material mostly, with some vegetable leather details:

Handmade in Germany, about 65 euro incl. shipping.

Think you made a good choice.

I haven't received my sleeve yet but own another product of PackAndSmooch, which is phenomenal in both looks and quality.

Should receive mine soon, I'll let you guys know about the quality.

Ordered a 12.9 Leather Sleeve in Black two weeks ago from Best Buy. Their release date changed twice and now it's a pre-order with no mention of when it'll come out.

Gave up and ordered direct from Apple, even if it means I lose out on using rewards certificates for the whole thing. Meh.

Same thing with me, wanted to use RC amd i preordered it weeks ago. Date changed, waited that out and went immediately to backorder.

Just got my sleeve from the apple store. Maybe im crazy, but it seems like it was made to be used WITH the smart keyboard. It fits perfectly (from the descriptions on here, i expted it to be an extremely tight fit that stretched out the leather). When you have it in naked, the ipad actually slips out of the sleeve and more likely to smash on the ground

With that being said, i cant believe i spent $300 on this case combo.

Looks nice, it looks much lighter than I anticipated. Maybe it’s the picture. I got mine at the store in black, have received nothing but compliments on sleekness of the sleeve in general.
The middle pic is darker and more accurate of how it looks.

This would be ideal if it had a slot for the iPad, slot for the keyboard/cover, and slot for other stuff.

How does the iPad feel when sitting on top of the sleeve while taking notes?

I'm planning on getting the 12.9" with sleeve and Smart Cover. I've got a rubber back case for my 9.7" at the moment, mostly for to keep the iPad from moving when taking notes. I thought maybe resting it on the sleeve would do but curious how it feels, if it's spongy at all when applying pressure?

The iPad over the sleeve feels nice and steady. It's possible taking notes with the Apple Pencil with no problems.

Do I want the Saddle Brown sleeve for my 10.5" just because it is the one that's least available?

I touched the black sleeve in store yesterday because it was the only one that Apple had in stock - it's really nice. I was able to compare my silver IPP with gray ASK to all of the leather colors using the leather Smart Covers in store as examples. The store today has the blue in stock but that's the one that I really am not considering.

I have a black leather case for my matte black 7+ which I really like, and my AW2 is space black, but all of my iPads have been silver - I like the white bezel for iPad. Maybe I'm considering the Brown to keep the white bezel iPad unique in my device lineup. Taupe is ok but might be a close 3rd choice for me.

I went ahead and ordered a brown for in-store pickup because it was 2-3 weeks out and I wanted to keep that option open but it has since been updated to available next week. I can't decide.

Just thinking on screen...

I received my sleeve yesterday and it’s pretty damn nice. I can’t say it’s $130 nice, but I knew that going in.

All that said, I think I’ll look for something else. After thinking about it, I kinda want something I can carry the iPad/ASK/pencil and maybe a charger in. The sleeve is awesome for from home use, as in toting it to work for the day. But for traveling, I think something that can hold more would serve me better and would be more versatile.

It's definitely pricey. I understand your use mode. For me, I would use it at the office going from my office to meetings or when going into customer/vendor meetings. When I travel, I always have my shoulder laptop bag for chargers and accessories and the sleeve would just go into the folder compartment.

You will ruin it with ASK.

I have it for the iPad Air 2, and it's great. A year later the 'edges' where you hold it a lot feel a bit 'easy to bend', I fear they will be the first to go. But it's holding up pretty good. It had a few serious scratched from ppl moving it over the table back to me, so i am glad that's not in the back of it. And after a few serious falls to the floor, the gold edges still got a few little bits of damage to it that the leather edges couldn't prevent. But that's me being nitpicky.

I quite enjoy the subtle wrap and how easily it stays in once it snaps into place.
If i go Pro ipad in the future, i will certainly buy it again.
