Unless you guys have apps that are waiting to download, or haven't finished downloading - the App Store will correct itself over time...I've seen this with every other beta, and am also seeing it now. I still have apps waiting to download, and the count is off...but it's slowly going back to zero.

Same thing for me never had any issue like this until I installed IOS 9 so I signed out of the app store and then waited a few min and logged back into the app store with my password and quickly hit update all and then they all started to update but is this just a quick fix ? will this happen again? not sure but set it to update automatically going forward must be a bug in IOS 9 as I never had this issue until today.
I can't even get that option . Hope it's fixed soon

if you manage to open app store, click "updates" and QUICKLY hit "update all apps in the upper right corner they will update. must be a bug or something, took me 3 tries and i finally updated them.

for me removing the app and reinstalling helped. furthermore I simply updated (not a clean install). Before the update, I entered some text into the searchbar of the AppStore App. After the update the text was still in the searchbar. after removing the text and killing the AppStore App the text was still in the search bar.

\\\edit
after clean install and applying latest backup from 8.4.1 the text is still not removed from the ApStore App Search field :D. Cant imagine what else might be stored onto the device which is of no use....

Has nothing to do with the install. Its been happening on my 6+ for 2 days now and I installed the GM last week. I also had a similar issue yesterday on iPad with 8.4 that hasn't been updated in many months.

This worked...took several tries and a restart...but its all downloading now. I have 3 large downloads in the que (300+mb each...maybe this had something to do with the issue??)

I downloaded a ton of app updates about an hour prior to updating my iPhone 5s and iPad Air 2 to iOS 9. Updates for a few apps that are on both showed up after my iPad updated, but before my iPhone updated so I know that they should have updates, but the App Store is showing no updates for either device.

That's not working since I don't see an "updates all apps" button appear. All the apps change from having no button to having an "open" button. There is never an update button.

reboot your iPhone. Then start App Store, and very quickly hit "UPDATES" button...then very quickly the "Update All" button will be accessible, but you need to be fast.

Make sure you have enough free memory to update. I had error with 1.1g and cleared up a few hundred Meg and then it worked.

That can't be the issue. I have 10gb left on my iPad. And it let me download Star Wars game which is larger than all my apps that need to be updated combined.

The app store isn't showing any updates for me, even though I know at least one app has an update. Even going directly to the app via search shows "Open", instead of "Update".

The problem is the app store isn't showing any apps that have updates in the Update tab.

Prior to upgrading to iOS 9, I updated all the apps that it showed needing updating. I then updated to iOS 9, but when I go to the app store, the list isn't updating to show apps that posted updates after I updated. I know there are some since if I search for an app, I can see it has a new version number that I have, but it's not showing the "Update" button and that app doesn't show up on the Updates tab.

It doesn't matter how fast I am, if the app updates never show up on the App Store update tab.

Well 14 updates just showed up on my iPad Air 2 (including the one I was looking for) and started downloading.

Still nothing on my iPhone 5s. I guess the store is limiting updates to prevent overloading or something.

I was seeing the same and then 5 updated at once.

I think the servers are getting hammered with all of the apps updated to iOS9 today and all the updated hitting all the devices at once

An update to this weirdness: when I left the office I checked for updates on my iPhone 6 and found that I had nine. All installed perfectly. When I got home, I decided to update other devices from the GM to the final build, thinking the app store issue we've seen was fixed. My iPad Air 2 found 14 updates but my wife's iPhone 6 Plus can't see any, even though I know she's got at least three (Amazon, Yelp and Dropbox).

Perhaps they'll show up tonight?

Same problem here. Stuck with a "6" badge on my App Store icon. Nice work, Apple.

No need to get the panties in a bunch.

Think about it. 50,000+ apps updated today for ios9 and EVERY device trying to update those apps since 1pm EST. RELAX servers are probably hammered

Am I the only one where I'm not getting any updates in the update section in the app store? iTunes is fine but the same apps that I updated via iTunes are not showing up on my iPad or iPhone.
No you are not the only one. After I successfully updated, my App Store red balloon showed 19 updates. Once I opened the App Store App, the Update All at the top was greyed out and all apps showed Open. Afger a few goes, I noticed Update was shown for not even a second against apps, then changed to Open. I managed to click on an Update button after 2 attempts (it was like a game-like experience.......). Once that app successfully updated, 18 buttons showed Update.

Annoying, but seems to be ok now.

I guess I'm not sure what you guys are having trouble with? I have a handful of apps that for whatever reason with iOS 9 betas, the GM, 9.1 and even the 'new' 9.0 - after installing fresh and restoring my content, some apps just didn't restore...and the App Store for a while was showing some crazy number in the badge, despite there being no updates available after checking. I realized going into purchases and manually tapping the cloud icon for those apps that failed to restore then forced them to download, and shortly after the App Store badge finally disappeared.

I have the same issue... App Store hasn't shown a single app being available to update since I installed iOS 9 on both iPhone and iPad... And I know some apps have been updated.

For everyone that's having this problem, do you have apps that haven't finished restoring, or are greyed out that say 'waiting' underneath? I'm trying to understand the actual problem...
