I had to shut my WiFi off on my iPad, then open the App Store, go to Updates, then the Update All button worked. I would then turn back on WiFi.

Guys, I'm thinking this might be an App Store issue, as I was updating fine yesterday, was on iOS 9.1 PB yestereday and was able to update, and I'm still on the same today, and now I'm getting the same thing. Nothing changed on my devices, and I'm seeing the same issue now.

I show 25 updates and when I go into the store it won't let me update anything....all have open next to apps....not update.

Servers are probably overloaded due to so many apps submitting updates + iOS 9. Give it some time, the updates will work eventually.

I have the same issue. Running the GM build from last week before I did the OTA I had 10 updates.

When I updated to the current release it showed I still had 10 updates. Yet in the App Store tab it shows the updates then flickered to open rather than update. Only way I managed to update them was to quickly open and tap update before it changed to open

I have the same thing. 10 apps to update. But they say update for only a second then OPEN. Badge stays at 10.

It seems Twitter might have updated but not sure.

User CD M reported that if you click update in that second before it changes to open it should work and they all stay on for update. I haven't had a chance to try it yet.

My method is working, but you have to force quit App Store if you didn't do it quick enough, then reapet. The first time you go to updates tab, there IS a button in the right upper corner "update all apps" but it's there for a millisecond, so you have to be QUICK. If you failed - force quit App Store and repeat. They will fix it, but if you NEED to update your stuff - try it

Here's something interesting. Works fine on my iPhone 6+. I'm updating apps right now. Just can't do it on my iPad Mini. Both running iOS 9.1 PB. Is everyone that's having trouble having it on an iPhone or iPad? Tried rebooting the iPad, tried to catch the 1 second Update All active button, nothing. But perfectly fine on my phone.

I guess I'm not sure what you guys are having trouble with? I have a handful of apps that for whatever reason with iOS 9 betas, the GM, 9.1 and even the 'new' 9.0 - after installing fresh and restoring my content, some apps just didn't restore...and the App Store for a while was showing some crazy number in the badge, despite there being no updates available after checking. I realized going into purchases and manually tapping the cloud icon for those apps that failed to restore then forced them to download, and shortly after the App Store badge finally disappeared.

Problem started yesterday. I tried to install an app from app store- when I clicked the "GET" button it would start to download then pop back to GET...if I tried a dozen or so times it would finally download. I had this issue with multiple apps and multiple devices- it happened most of the day yesterday. Then today I had 15 apps that were in the "update" tab. I tried to "install all" and nothing happened. I then closed the app store and reopened it and then all the apps were still there in the update tab, but they all said "open" as if they were already updated (but they were not updated) and they remained in the "available updates" area. see attached. I finally was able to get them to download using the instructions I posted earlier.

Thank god it's not just me! My iPad has 9.1 and now as of today can't get app updates. My iPhone is on 9.0 and can't now either. Apple has to be doing something.

I'm on 8.3 and am experiencing the same. It will probably be a glitch due to everyone bombarding Apple's servers to download iOS9.

It is working now for me now ; all the apps that were updated on iTunes and then synced are now showing they are updated.

Well lookee there all my apps that said "Open" under "Pending updates" now say "Update."
And I didn't do anything to cause it.

They're all updating now after I chose update all.

Same thing happened to me as well on 8.4.1. I did a hard reset and it hasn't happened since.

Please use radar.apple.com to report this, I have already. The only way I found to fix this (or easier) was to open and very fast click the update all. That seemed to work for me.

Same issue on iOS 9.0 public release (after having had no issues previously on any of the iOS 9.0 beta releases).

Not just on iOS9 it seems. I'm still running 8.4.1 and while my 'updates' tab shows there are 17 updates waiting (i update manually), when i go there all updates show a button that says 'open' instead of 'update'?
