You can already view PDF files, that is native. Do you want somewhere to store them?
1) Notes sync with Outlook
2) Tasks sync with Outlook
3) create/edit word and excel files
All of these exist on Palm, RIM and Windows mobile so to truely become the business leader I think they'll need these.
4) wireless iTunes sync
5) slingbox app
6) Good calorie and fitness program all in one (again there's one for windows mobile, that'd be even better on the iPhone)
7) App that syncs with Microsoft Money.

If any developers are listening - I, for one, would DEFINITELY pay for an app that lets me sync up my podcasts on the go, without having to physically connect my iphone.
Slim Devices (or Logitech) Squeeze Centre remote control (and streaming? That's be nice, thank you) App. Think along the lines of a native version of iPeng.

That is something Hotmail would have to allow. Not something that a developer could do.
i'm waiting for a pet owners app. Something wher ei can set up each pet and list when their vaccines and such are ready, view how long its been since their last check up, ect.. theres a FEW pay website like that, but i would like to have it on my phone! maybe even ad a picture for each pet.
An application (or function actually) that allows the adjustment of contrast, color hue, etc.

I'd like a countdown app, so you could countdown to a holiday or vacation, etc. A slingbox app would be awesome too!
A system preference app would make me happy. I need a place to access 3g, edge, push, bluetooth, wifi, and email accounts all on one quick app. Come on Boss Pref...
