Never excited. It's just a phone, basically. But I'm interested in new hardware and software solutions.

iPhone 14 is the third and final model of the current 3-year iPhone product cycle and thus will be more a refinement of 12 and 13 rather than the something new on all fronts.I think it depends on how old your phone is. I have an iPhone 13, so an incremental upgrade isn’t really for me. If I had an iPhone 11 I would probably feel differently.
By all accounts the iPhone (non-Pro) is nearly identical to the iPhone 13. So, to be more excited this year than last year is, in a word, odd.Just two weeks for the announcement. Are you excited for this years iPhone?
I gotta say I’m more excited for this year than last year, although still not much. I mean, what really spikes my interest is the new 14 Max model for improved battery life for under 1000€ I hope, the new design (just to see some visual changes) and maybe AOD (but this feature I wouldn’t even use).
Not much else, I’d say. Would be cool to see a big camera upgrade, but we don’t see that from year to year. I have an iPhone 12 and don’t see much reason to upgrade. 120Hz is cool but on an iPad; not as much on a phone, where iPhone is already SUPER smooth.
I don't particularly like USB-C. But I would prefer to end this mix of Lightning and USB-C cables that my house has all over the place.I need USB C. Its long overdue.
This is just a phone. At least to us old timers.Never excited. It's just a phone, basically. But I'm interested in new hardware and software solutions.
