I'd like both. Sometimes I don't pick my phone up if it's laying next to me or tilt it up. And when using Apple Pay, resting your finger is more seamless than raising your phone up before you hold it to the reader.

FaceID is perfect for things like signing into apps when in active use or autofilling passwords, but there are occasions were TouchID would be useful.
Yes. I definitely prefer Touch for Apple Pay and getting new Apps. Or find a less clunky way with FaceID that doesn't involve the double power tap.

My work iPhone 8 Plus I use touch ID, because it’s just so much more convenient holding it to the terminal. [I also find it slightly quicker], but that’s just something that I noticed. I never had Apple Pay enabled on my Max for reasons you mentioned.

No, although the under screen touch id sounds pretty sweet. I like my SE and don't want to upgrade, unless it's for something REALLY incredible.

Yes. Can't wait to upgrade from the 7+.

That was my previous iPhone last year. Solid iPhone in every way. I think the big differential is utilizing face ID versus touch ID, it’s polarizing to use at first, but face ID has some really unique conveniences with auto fill password being one of them.

However, I still do prefer touch ID in terms of Apple Pay on my work iPhone 8 +, as it’s just much more convenient to hold the phone near the terminal versus using Face ID.
