Are you getting Spore?

Yes, I don't like the fact the system requirements are insanely high, my iMac is the base config for dedicated graphics card, but my new MBP should be able to handle it :p

your imac would be fine too. even a macbook will be able to run it, albeit probably not all that well.
 
If the creature creator is any indication, it runs pretty well on my mbp, so hopefully the full game follows similarly, a cider port is just plain lazy for a huge company like EA :(.

I was very excited for spore, but now I have more important things to worry about, so I'll probably just skip it.

I am waiting for Left 4 Dead though! (and Diablo III, blizzard get a move on)
 
I was sooo hyped about this game for the last couple years........ until I first heard about LittleBigPlanet on the PS3.

Spore has officially taken a back seat to that game.
 
Runs like utter crap on my Mac.

Installed it on Windows; lo! and behold, it worked perfectly.

God, I hate Cider.

EDIT: Just tried it again on Mac, just to be sure. Yup, even on the lowest settings it's still incredibly jerky. Perhaps it'll be patched?

Really? Im having no problems at all, aisde from the cant log in problem (see long thread here on EA UK). Everything is set to Medium, with the exception of one setting which is High, and one is Low.
 
Apparently there's an issue under Spore with the x1600 and x1900 cards. Everything else is jake.
 
Depending on the price then yeah! Looks really cool!

Not for my computer though, my MacBook's graphics suck.
 
yeah i got it yesterday, and i got the ati 1900 problem it really sucks,

then i decided to install it on my macbook pro and it runs like a dream

I f***ing love this game :)
 
EA claims that it's an issue with OS X, so going by that I doubt there'd be an issue under Windows.
