I have pre ordered a black XL.
Ah, man, congrats! I can't wait to hear about it once you get your hands on it.

Nope, why overspend when a 6p will do the job? Heck a Chinese mid grade phone will do the job for 1/3 of the price. But that's just myself.
[doublepost=1475606777][/doublepost]

Apple's hardware is so-so, but that's TO ME and my personal opinion and what I use as a metric. But Apple has incredible brand loyalty and can afford to do what it does. Google doesn't have that and can't afford to release a subpar phone in 2016.
I feel like your signature also applies to the bezels on the new Pixel. :p

I probably would but I'm still making Next payments on my 6S. I'm hoping when I'm ready to upgrade the price will have come down a bit. Seems a little steep for an Android device.

Heck no not at those prices. If I want a premium phone I might as well get a iPhone. Sorry but I love my 6P perfect Android phone at a affordable price.
[doublepost=1475603548][/doublepost]
Get a 6P the prices should drop more now. It is the best Android smartphone.

My thoughts exactly. I'm not returning my iPhone 7 for this. And I'd rather have Android at this point. But iPhone 7 is a better value at $650.

It's expensive. Just looked and at $869 for the 128GB Pixel XL (and it's showing 6-7 week wait period). Forget that. I'll just wait for an amazon (or whatever special) 199/249 deal like the Nexus 6 special during November 2015 (Nexus 6 was like $649 MSRP back in November 2014?) So I guess I'll just get a 6P. I had the Galaxy S7 for 4 months before reselling it.

While it kinda ticks a lot of boxes for what I want in my next smartphone, it is about the same size as my Oneplus One, with a crappier looking design and when it finally comes to Finland (can't order it from Google here for some stupid reason) it will probably have a very steep price tag. I feel that they've priced it quite high without any extra features to back it up.

Of the high priced phones the Note 7 is more attractive to me.

Nope. It lacks too much for the price, for me.

But it has made my mind up to definitely get an S7 Edge or Note 7.

No way

Like Ifrit (cool FF reference :) ), I'll hang on to my Note 4 altough that thing is acting more and more stupid *gr* If I had to I would buy the OPO 3 or maybe spend a bit more and buy the underrated V20.

Not a chance @ $800+, that's a slap in the face to us loyal Nexus fans. I have owned every Nexus phone, except the lame Nexus 5 ( the small battery and washed out display made the Nexus 5 probably the worst of them all )

I find my 64GB Nexus 6P to be a very high end, very nice phone, and I bought it brand new for $499, great price for a great phone. This year I have owned the Note 5, LG G5, and HTC 10, and I find the Nexus 6P head and shoulders the better phone out of that bunch.

At this point I'll happily stick with my 6P and get the 7.1 update, and save $800 :)

128GB Pixel XL is 1029€ here. Yeah, I said that correctly!

Too much!! I would never pay 1000€ for a phone, even if it's my dream phone. For that price I can buy a G5 + S7 second hand in like new condition both!

Besides, battery is small on the Pixel. Price is the biggest disappointment here.

No OIS too?

It's literally toe to toe with Apple's pricing. Which was already too much and over priced this year.

At least iPhone would hold more of resale value though but that's still not enough to justify the iPhone 7 and neither are the pixel's prices justifiable when there are a plethora of phones offering similar for less.

I'm very disappointed with flagship prices this fall.

It's an interesting looking phone, but I don't think I will get it unless it's a buy one get one free. I want to play with it in the store though.

Doesn't that kill most of the appeal of a Google phone?

IPhones getting widgets and giving up their swipe to unlock feature. Google's Android phones looking, acting and being priced like iPhones. Samsung phones combusting. Trump vs Clinton for the US presidency. I think all this strangeness was spoken of in a prophecy somewhere.:eek:

Too expensive. I don't really like android. I tried it for a little bit with a Samsung Note 4 and it just felt weird and kind of put together with bits and pieces...Haha. Anyway, If the price drops, I may try it but I have been with the iPhone since the iPhone 4S and so far, I just always go back. Its mainly iOS that has gotten my addicted. The hardware isn't that impressive.
People who post an opinion based on a phone as old as a Note 4 on the state of Android today is so odd. Hardware not impressive? Ha, ok. For me, no wireless charging an Google dropping the front facing speakers is disappointing, but so Apple :)

This is where it stands on my to buy list. May move up or down based on initial reviews.

Galaxy Gear S3 Frontier
DJI Mavic Pro
Galaxy Note 8
Galaxy Note 7
Pixel XL
iPhone 6S Plus
iPhone 7 Plus
Oh man, I have been sucking up videos on YouTube about the new generation drones. Went to my first FPV race last month and I am hooked. Phones are so yesterday now. :)

Can't even look at it here (it's not on store.google.com here at all) .... :(
Website for the new stuff announced today, is madeby.google.com. Just checked the US Google Play store, the 6P and 5X is gone and the new stuff is there. Just waiting for your order ;)

Android 7.1 coming to current Nexus devices and Pixel C, will land before the end of 2016 as a dev preview
http://www.androidpolice.com/2016/1...vices-pixel-c-will-land-end-2016-dev-preview/

So let me get this straight, the brand new Pixel phones launch in October with Android 7.1 obviously, but last years top of the line Google phone, the Nexus 6P will get a beta of 7.1 in December, and the final release of 7.1 sometime next year ? WTF Google ? What happened to Nexus devices being so quick to get fast Android updates ? Now just the newest phones get it, and last years devices already have a long wait ?

I am no iPhone fan, but god damn Apple does updates right, The new iPhone 7 launched with iOS 10, and then a crap load of older iPhone's also got the same iOS 10 update, like just one week later.
