I'm on the fence, I keep having issues when I swap between my Ipad and Iphone, the sound will work on music for the phone, but when I go to make/receive a call it shows airpods connected but I get nothing through them. I like the wireless convenience and they have been great when working out, not fallen out once, but it gets frustrating with the phone issue.

I bought a pair of AirPods yesterday and will give them a week to see if I want to keep them. So far they've lived up to expectations for the most part. I ran 12 miles with them this morning and they didn't budge in my ears. They also sound great. The only issue I've had is the volume on my iPod Nano. Even at full blast the AirPods were very quiet. I don't have this problem with my Sony wireless headphones. When the AirPods are connected to my iPhone they're much louder. Since I only use my Nano while I'm running it shouldn't be too much of an issue, though I wish there was some kind of option to increase the volume.

Being that these are the first wireless Bluetooth headphones that work with an iPhone and were designed by Tim Cook which makes them a collector item I will keep them even though they are a total rip off and have horrible controls.

So far so good! Personally, I think this was the best product they pushed out all year long. Compared to getting the iPhone 7, I find the Airpod much more refreshing.

Just wondering if there is anyone who is not impressed, or expected more from their AirPods and is thinking of returning them? Reasons/thoughts?

Debating it... only cause I have so many headphones and I spent waaaay too much money this Xmas. Also the Airpods fit a bit looser than I prefer. I'm hoping some EarSkinz for Airpods will get released.

I've had mine since the 19th, and I'm enjoying them. I've gone running with them a number of times, and they haven't fallen out or felt like they were going to fall out. They stay in even when tilting my head 90 degrees right or left, but I know that different ears may not have the same experience. They sound noticeably better than the LG Tone Pros that I had been using, and it's nice not having the wires and housing around my neck. I'm keeping them.

Finally got the darn things to work with the Earskinz, marginally better sound but now they will never fall out!

A bit of a pita to keep removing and then attaching them again but it isn't the end of the world.

They are louder too... feels about 2db louder to me at the same volume and the bass is deeper.

Probably so, I noticed my yt music is definitely louder and the bass is good. I have not tested fully enough but this should work out fine for now, better than without them.

I picked mine up this morning, first impressions, I'm impressed with them. I do have a couple of little of things which I wished they had. Volume up and down and skipping tracks. I would rather press a button rather than asking Siri to do it.

Had mine for a week so far and I love them. They have exceeded my expectations.

Returning mine... They look as if they are coming apart @ the seam... I have another order of 3 pairs that I have to pick up and they will be cancelled also... .. Just received one pair of 4 and for the price, you would not expect to notice that 1 earpiece has a perfect seam @ the top (Completely flush and "0" gap, but then once it starts to go around shows a seam) and the 2nd earpiece the seam is shown on the entire earpiece and looks like it was not sealed properly...

today...
[doublepost=1483154471][/doublepost]heres a better photo. Right one is more flush and assembled than the left... I would double check my seams if I were you all.. This might pose a problem down the line...

I returned mine. Music was great vs EarPods but using it for calls? So much static. Awful voice pickup/transmission. BT connectivity just plain sucked. I expect more from Apple and more importantly for $170.

I've already returned mine. I couldn't complete any moderate-length phone call without them losing connection with the phone. In one 14 minute call this happened 3 times; least reliable bluetooth headset I've ever owned, and that was really surprising considering all the glowing reviews from people with the pre-release hardware. But, apparently I'm not alone. I'm hoping it's just a quality control issue and not a design issue, but nobody has them in stock so I haven't been able to try another pair.

Also, triggering Siri was a crapshoot, and that was rather annoying.

I concur.

Listening to music is AWESOME. One of the best sounding non-over the ear headphones I've used. But the call quality...

From reading these, either different people have wildly differing views about what constitutes good audio quality or some people have got duff products. I would assume its the latter.

I may be more patient that most but when lots of people are saying one thing about a product and you are finding the opposite I would just take them back and get them replaced.

Cancelling your order for more pairs because the one you have has a manufacturing fault seems pretty silly unless you just don't like them.

Unfortunately getting them replaced is no easy task at the present. Most certainly one would have to return them because of the timeframe one has to try them and then wait it out until they become more readily available.

I understand where you are coming from, what I have been focused on lately is the volume. Some say more than adequate while others are saying too low. I understand we all listen to different things and different sources for music. I almost feel like making a thread for some music I have issues with the volume just so everyone could test and see if the results are the same.
[doublepost=1483201996][/doublepost]Considering EarPods were thrown in with iPhones upon purchase and I see many in my travels daily especially at the gym, many of those folks are probably saying people are crazy buying and keeping the Airpods at their cost with so many other Bluetooth alternatives on the market. And the Airpods really don't sound any better than the EarPods.

Just sayin.

For me it has been the convenience. Used them today for the first time whilst out shopping. The lack of wires was fantastic. Love the functionality of pausing when you remove them from your ear and popping them back in the case that fits perfectly in that previously unuseful very small mini pocket in my jeans is the best.

As stated above. Getting replacements would be a PITA since stock is soooo low. It would be in your best interest to return, reorder, and wait till February unless you get lucky.

Same here. AirPods beat all previous bluetooth devices I've owned or tried.

Keeping.

If you are in the U.K. Then return them and order form either John Lewis or PC World / currys. Both have stock on and off. I got two pairs from John Lewis with no issues.
