iMessage and Mail are continuing to give me functionality fits on my 6+ since updating to 10. One of my accounts in Mail is an old Hotmail account and that one is really poorly integrated so far. My Gmail accounts also have weird issues at times. Trashing or Junking messages sometimes results in file transfer could not be completed error messages yet the file ends up in the trash or junk folder after all.

No. A lot of odd issues right and left. I know, I know - x.0 issues, but c'mon... see this as an example below. Happens occasionally when trying to pull down notifications.

[doublepost=1474167192][/doublepost]Also, this. Seriously? Look at the spacing between the dots and the text. This on a new iPad Mini 4. Embarrassing and, IMHO, sloppy work.

First time I must say that I am kinda satisfied with first release of iOS (10). Definitely far ahead than iOS 7/8/9 which were stutterfests on their launch day.
I wanted a smooth iOS and I got it. Less Input blocking and slightly faster animations recive thumbs up from me.

There are still many areas to improve like addition of systemwide "Dark Mode" and further smoothing of few odd animations. But I am sure they would be improved eventually.

This is also the first time there are no lag & stutter complaints on this forum which means Apple has taken a note of our previous complaints. Less work for Apple apologists to defend their beloved company this year.:p

Waiting for the first "fix" release. I really like the iOS 9 Notification Center look. Today screen with widgets.

Also, does iOS 10 have green overtones, like the examples in iOS 10 User Guide? Device icons in Find My iPhone are now green tinted, even without installing the upgrade. I hate the color green and don't want to look at it.

New imessages, more 3d touch interactions, "faster", flip to turn on screen, additional layer of interactions with notifications without having to actually launch an app.

I guess those aren't surface level impressive but more of an overall user experience improvement.

Rich notifications could potentially increase battery life if it makes it so we don't have to unlock the phone and actually launch an app any more
I get 6 hours of use time.. Is that normal?

I like it. The only things I think need work are the fact it prompts you to press the home button even if the lock screen is illuminated and your fingerprint is unlocking the device. Surely if the screen is on it should just unlock without that extra button press?

My other annoyance is Siri not recognising commands I've been using for a while now. I use the timer a lot when cooking so I often say 'timer for 25 minutes'... Siri usually now takes 4 or 5 attempts to process that.

They are the only things I don't like but perhaps it's work in progress? I like the look and feel of iOS 10. Just got a brand new 6S on contract too so loving 3D Touch features.

Only been running iOS 10 on my 6 Plus since yesterday. It seems smoother and a bit more fluid. I'm not sure about the home button x2 to unlock thing, but it's just muscle memory. Notifications screen is fine for me, no issues.
All my apps seem to work fine.

I'm sure I could find a problem if I went looking for one.

I mentioned the 2x home button tap and C DM corrected me and explained how to turn it off. I think it's:
Settings>General>Accessibility>Home Button>Rest Finger to open.

This turns it off and means you can unlock your iPhone without physically pressing the home button :)

I really like iOS10 except I'm not a fan of the music app. Seems like a step backwards. Unlocking took a bit to get used too but now it's just normal - although I do find myself swiping every so often.

And I've found myself having the sound on more now 'cause I like the new keyboard sounds...

I'm pretty surprised how well it runs on my iPads (Air 2 and Pro, the big one). Beginning with iOS 7, iPads - including the latest iPads available at the time - have always gotten short shrift from Apple in terms of performance and it's not until pretty late in the release cycle that Apple finally gets around to optimizing everything for the iPad. iOS 7 was a stinker to begin with, and it finally worked well on the iPad, but only as of about the final release. The came iOS 8 which reversed all of the gains made in the last release of iOS 7. Once again, not until late in the release cycle were iPads bought up to speed so to speak (but still not as good as the final release of iOS 7). Optimizations and speed improvements promised by iOS 9 were basically a no show. iOS 9 didn't perform horribly, but I never got the impression that the system had been improved in any significant way in terms of performance on an iPad. My memory is that the last version of iOS 7 was the best in terms of performance on an iPad and neither iOS 8 or 9 ever recovered that benchmark

So when iOS 10 was released I decided to hold off on my primary devices (iPad Pro and iPhone 6s) and used the iPad Air 2 as a iOS 10 guinea pig. I was surprised...shocked at how well it ran. An initial release of iOS that actually runs pretty well on the iPad! It's unprecedented - at least for Federighi et al. I've updated my other devices and they run fine as well, no major issues and no regrets.

I was certain iOS 10 would be at least 6 months into the update cycle before something acceptable was released for the iPad. Basically, iOS 10 seems like what iOS 9 should have been in the first place.

Downgraded both my iPad Air 2 and iPhone 6 Plus to 9.3.5. Battery life is much better now and much fewer bugs. I'll wait until iOS 10 is more mature to upgrade.

My vote has been 'No', not because I think the update is terrible, so to speak, but because it's rather mediocre.

I have a 6+. iOS10 has made it a lot faster, and more fluid in general, which I have to say is very nice. I half expected it to slow the phone down a little bit. However the negative points kind of get to me and keep me from actually enjoy using the phone. Some of them are:

1. The notifications. Why oh why are they all individually presented and take up so much space. It got me thinking of using my android phone back in the day and how much better that was in this department.

2. The control centre (or whatever the menu is called) which comes up when you swipe down to up. It doesn't make sense to me why they'd have the music controls on a separate card. It's a pain to use now when I'm on the treadmill.

3. No one in India (where I'm from) uses iMessage. Pretty much everyone's on whatsapp, so I almost never use it. Even so, when I do want to send a message, the whole interface has gotten a little too "busy", with links for selecting photos, making gestures etc. I understand this is more of an individual preference, but it doesn't work for me.

4. Apple Music isn't at all intuitive and becomes a pain to use at times. I can't imagine that someone at Apple didn't think it'd be a good idea to change this.

and my last gripe (and possibly the silliest one),

5. Changing the keyboard click sounds and the sound that comes up when you lock the phone was kind of a disappointment for me. I had considered them to be iconic almost in a way. Now it's like any of the hundreds of Android phones out there.

Same here, and these two points are my main gripes as well. This OS gets the job done but no more. It's like a meal that gives you the nutrients you need but has no flavour, with little care given to the presentation. I'm definitely leaning towards an Android phone at least until September 2017.

All very valid concerns which I think I would be facing if I were to update to iOS 10. Not many people in my country uses iMessage as well; most of them are on Whatsapp too.

The new music app has got to be the worst - a place where I would say they redesigned for the sake of redesign. And the Control Center's separate page for music controls is definitely a step backwards in terms of UI intuitiveness.

I voted Yes, as overall I think this is the best iOS update in years. I love most of the new UI enhancements and how fast and speedy everything is. It's fun to use my phone again for the first time since the iOS7 changes came into play.

Anyway, things that are annoying me:

- The 6S battery life issue. For obvious reasons.
- The Messages app. So cluttered. Give me back my text box. If you won't let me disable all the childish stuff, at least let me hide the stupid buttons all over the app and make it stay hidden. Don't keep bringing it back every time I go into a new message or return to the app later. Not to mention, all the childish crap only works in the messages app! Everywhere else, e.g. the home screen, notifications, widgets, OSX, etc... you get these stupid (SENT WITH SLAM EFFECT) messages clogging up your conversations. Just let us disable all this stuff goddamit.
- Raise To Wake. Keeps activating while walking and listening to music, which results in pocket skips and volume adjustments. That, and when you do want it to work, it takes longer to activate than it would have if you just hit a button to wake the device.
- Bugs/Incomplete features. E.G. You 3D Touch a message to reply, activating the widget, start typing it all out, but then have to jump out and check something else first, you go back into the Messages app, everything you just typed is gone. Or when you actually activate the Messages widget, the message you just received disappears from the view and instead displays only the conversation history that has taken place via the widget only.
- Music app bugs. I love the new UI overall, but let me view my albums in a list. And if I remove a song from Up Next, please don't just play it anyway.

Only thing I am unhappy with is the Notification changes. I'd like my notifications grouped by app, not all over the place. Would also help if I could limit apps to a specific number of notifications to show (1, 3, 5, 10 would be nice). Both of these features existed before, not sure why they took them away.

I like it. I turned off the raise to wake and the ability to reply to messages on the lock screen. Just felt someone could see too much. I also fixed the unlock by changing the setting to rest finger to unlock.

My battery is fine and imo lasts longer.

I do agree the messages are a bit much with all the new features.

Overall I think IOS 10 is faster on my 6s.

I have to say the entire OS seems to be much snappier and faster than before iOS 10. Call me nuts but this is the first time I've done an "upgrade" that didn't result in a major decline in performance. The new "features" are a bit of a joke if you ask me but I'll take the speed.

I am fairly new to apple.

I do no like IOS10, mainly due to fact swipe to unlock is gone.
I still swipe screen and end up with notifications.

I disabled 3D touch on IOS9 as dont like it, yes I know it is useful at times.
Apple should give option of new or old way to unlock.
Should have option in settings.

But IOS10 runs well on my 6s+ and is fast so not all bad.
