Don’t skip, these people didn’t. Record lines, certain models sold out in minutes in China, sales are stronger than expected and the stock is up. Watch is up 50% YOY and is the most popular watch in the world. It’s a good year for Apple.

Thought I was upgrading. The new iPhones seem to cause headaches for me (including the 11) so it looks like I’ll be sticking with the iPhone 8.

In China yeah. Upgrades are down globally though and have been since the end of 2015. Even from our own anecdotal experiences we can see less of the people we know are upgrading their iPhones as often as used to be the case.

iPhone 8 sticking with it. What would I upgrade to considering there’s no upgrade path for those of us that like smaller phones? Also my phone still works really well so no real need at this point.

I kept saying I wasn’t going to upgrade from my XS. Then I saw the silver Max Pro and had to have it. So far so good. Loving the screen space. Jury is still out on the battery life as I just got it but so far so good.

From reading from some reputable members on here, it seems the battery life that Apple is quoting around 3 to 4 hours additional has been beneficial and mainly accurate. Now, the big thing being, of course is usage/settings, but with Apple making some adjustments, alongside the A13 processor, that says a lot to substantiate 3 to 4 hours of battery life.

Yeah that’s what I keep reading. I have high hopes. I don’t think I’ll be disappointed.

I'm stickin with my 6S, waiting out till new years at least to see what's the word on the March iPhone. Depending on price & size of upcoming phones, I might be getting iPhone 8 because I can't deal with phones over 5 inches.

I felt like i went side ways with my “upgrade” from xs max 256 to iPhone 11 6.1 128gb. I originally purchased 2 iPhone 11 6.1 on att bogo from sams club with $400 gift cards. So essentially $700 credit plus $400 gift cards for $1500 with of 2 phones

my 9 year got new line so got one IPhone 11. The second iPhone 11 was intended for my wife. But she was coming from iPhone 8 l plus 64gb (she was constantly running out of space on the 64gb) She said 6.1 iPhone 11 was too small screen. So she decided to take my xs max 256gb.

frankly the screen on the iPhone 11 is a downgrade. I definitely notice the difference going from oled back to lcd. But after a couple of days. I’ve gotten used to the lcd again.
Battery wise the iPhone 11 6.1 gives me solid full day with 9 hours on screen time and I can safely last to 7pm. I wake up at 530am and driving to work at 6am

I wasn’t impressed with the iPhone pro max $1250 256gb model. Not a price/performance upgrade for me from the xs max I was using.

I may just use the iPhone 11 as a bridge phone to pixel 4 deal (I’m a phone junkie and sold my pixel 3xl).

iPhone 11 is probably the best value/performance phone for most people. If the pro max had 6gb ram. I would be all over it. I learn my lessons from iPad 3 (early 2012) fiasco buying under power iOS device full $829 lte iPad 64gb at that time.

I’m just afraid the 4gb ram in the pro 11 max isn’t good for long term use having to power all those pixels plus the 3 cameras.

My iPhone X still works great, I’m gonna wait for 2020, when we get 5G Qualcomm modem and USB-C port

I am also on the iPhone X and happy to wait until 2020. I am actually quite looking forward to Apple replacing Lightening with USB C as then I would be able to use the same headset (I still use wired headphones and don't want Bluetooth headset or AirPods) for both my iPhone and my MacBook (I don't use an iPad)

Went from Xs —> 11 Pro Max and very happy so far. This battery is undefeatable and indefatigable. It’s insane.

8+ here. keeping it until the notch is gone or at least heavily reduced.
Somewhat similar. Sticking with my 8+ for the moment, but mainly because my two-year contract is up and I had a desire to switch to a postpaid plan, which reduced my monthly bill significantly. I might upgrade at a later date, but right now, there isn't any pressure to rush out and get the latest and greatest.

My main issue is that for me, the iPhone 11 feels like a bit of a downgrade, mainly the display, though I acknowledge the better battery life and the A13 chip, but it just doesn't feel like a significant enough upgrade at the moment. Meanwhile, the Pro Max feels too expensive for my tastes at the moment.

Right now, my 8+ is still going strong.

I have been thinking of upgrading my X to the 11 Pro Max, or possibly the 11.
I like most everything about the X except the screen size. I've had 6 Plus, 7 Plus before and do miss the larger screen. OLED is very nice too.

I'm going to go have a second look at the new phones today and make a choice. Just as a 'want', I'd go for the Pro Max, but the sensible part of me says to go for the 11.

The real reason to upgrade from iPhone X 2017 model is the battery life.

The iPhone x has poor battery life in general.

u will notice huge difference in battery life going from x to the iPhone 11 6.1 or iPhone 11 pro max.

March iPhone? I think it’s updated just once a year in Sept.

Well, I spent some time looking at and using an 11 and an 11 Pro Max. After looking today and all the reviews, reading and general overthinking I do, I went ahead and traded (good trade in allowance) the X for an 11 Pro Max 256 SG.
Ship time is sometime in October, so I'll still have my X for a few weeks.

I read that Apple is dropping the lightning port.

No thanks. This port dance is getting old. I've got all my cables, etc. Not going to buy all new stuff for a stupid new connector that I don't need.
After seeing the advancements in fast wireless charging, I’m all for getting rid of the port. I’m hoping Apple comes out with something similar to this:

Wired connections are in their final years, as was the headphone jack a few years ago. I don’t expect them to remove the port in 2020, but 2021 seems like a good bet.

They might be referring to the rumours of a new SE type device early next year.
Yeah, precisely. I'm interested because it's rumored to be less than 5 inches. I can live with 4.7, its the most suitable size for my hand.
