I’m interested to see from what iPhone you’re upgrading
I will be upgrading from 12 to 14 pro max as I usually upgrade every 2 years or so anyway .
I have a question for you Why haven’t we heard any new rumours since a while about potential vapour cooling in iPhone 14 models like we heard beginning of this year ? Updates anyone ????

I’d go to a non-pro 14 in a heartbeat if they were losing the notch. I agree the camera bumps are out of control.
I'm genuinely curious about why this is such an important "feature" to some. If they go from the notch to the rumored pill shape cutout, you are really only getting an extra half millimeter of screen real estate... space which will be entirely unused.

While I like the aesthetics of the pill over the notch, it is probably lowest on my list of things I care about on the phone. Certainly if that were the only notable change on the 14, I will not be considering an upgrade from my 12 Pro Max.

I'm waiting till Tuesday and hoping there will be some other features I find compelling enough to make the upgrade.

I upgrade every year since 2007 and the original iPhone! There is a 14 Pro Max with my name on it somewhere out there!

For me it’s probably more OCD. I just dislike unbalanced things, and the notch has always bothered me - I honestly would’ve just preferred an even bezel.

That said, the more I look at the pill, the more I’m just like ehhh IDK - it really doesn’t make a big difference. I think it looks better, but not infinitely better. I’d like to make myself stick with the 13 mini til 15s come out anyway, but I am missing having a little more screen real estate. I’m just gonna wait until Tuesday to decide for sure what I’m gonna do. I’ve been wanting to go to the larger watch, so I may opt to do that. Who knows.

I find myself missing a zoom lens. Oddly enough not for the purpose of zooming. But it is useful to take portraits without the distortion of faces that can make nose and cheek areas look extra wide and foreheads and chins look narrower than they actually are. This is even true with portraits of my pets. I miss hitting the 2x or more recently, the 3x lens option and getting beautifully proportioned pet and people faces.

I can of course do this with my Android phones. But I don’t always have those phones on me. Even a heavy Pro Max phone will be with me most of the time once I make the purchase again. My husband has been letting use his 13 Pro Max a bit to make sure I’m going to be okay with the size of a 14 Pro Max. I’ve been making sure it fits into my favorite little purses and the pockets of my larger handbags.

My SE 2022 will remain. It’s not being traded away so I’ll still have it for light summer use next year. It’s been a fantastic little phone. There was a software problem before that caused it to freeze up when I first got it. But that’s been fixed and I’ve loved it ever since.

Good for you. Thats wise approach. Really don't understand people who upgrade every year. After a week they most likely don't even see the difference. Very wasteful approach especially now when each year the upgrades are small.

I used to love upgrading my iPhone every year but I just cant be bothered with the cost of keeping up with the latest and greatest for not much of a gain in real-world usage.

So with that being said I will be sticking with my iPhone 12 Pro Max and we will see what the iPhone 15 Pro brings next year.

I have a 13 and will likely go 14 Pro. I just really prefer the look of the pill over the notch, and I don’t care what anyone says…the screen difference is clear to my naked eye in the base model vs Pro. Plus, I have a $354 Apple Account Balance from a trade in they messed up last year, so between that, 10% military discount, and trade-in credit from my 13, it won’t be much out of pocket.

So happy with the 13PM that I was going to skip this year (iPhone Upgrade Program). Then a couple of weeks ago the thumb joints in both my hands started hurting, and I'm getting tired of the added bulk and weight in my pants pocket. So, I'll be upgrading/downsizing to the 14 Pro.

I’m planning to go back to a pro. I had planned to go pro max, but I’m not positive about that yet.

I had a 13 pro, and sold it to get and try a 13 mini, which is what I’m currently using. I really love the mini, and would likely hang onto it if it weren’t for them getting rid of the notch in the 14 pro line. I’m one of those who has always disliked the notch.

Also, though I think the mini is wonderful for so many things, it definitely isn’t as good for browsing and stuff when I’m in bed at night - just not quite enough screen area. What I AM concerned about is the weight of the pro max in that same scenario, and I may wind up back with a regular pro because of that, but we shall see!
or you could do like me, keep the mini and order a 14 PM and have both for different uses 🤪

I upgraded yesterday from the 11 to the 13 pro max. It’s with o2 and includes switch up which means you can upgrade to a new phone anytime during the contract. So I can move to the 14 pro max if I like the look of it. Either way I’ve a better phone than the 11.

Do people think screen protectors for the 13PM will fit the 14PM? I have a few spare and they’re full coverage and a small cutout for the speaker right at the top.

I originally planned to keep the mini anyway, which is why I decided to buy and try it and sell my 13 pro. I have a granddaughter that will be getting a phone within the year, and I had planned to put it up for her. I’m not positive I’ll do that yet, because she really won’t need a $700 phone, but it’s just such a great little phone.

The only reason to upgrade from 11PM would be to not go with PM but a PRO version. I cannot operate this with single hand and I hope PRO version should solve that issue.

But then it isn’t necessary for you to understand, right? It costs you nothing got other people to spend their money however they choose, right?

Same. Not having any associated pain—I just feel like it’s big for no reason and I can still be happy with a little less bulk and weight. LOL. 14 Pro it is.
