No. An hour on the phone with three different departments and they couldn't tell me why. Said the only thing they could do is cancel and do another order.
sorry you had to go through this ordeal. this is typical att behavior

Finally... mine says preparing to ship. Ordered 1 minute after pre orders opened.

I think we will are get labels created Sunday night going into Monday with tracking. Maybe not shipping until Wednesday for Friday delivery though.

Watches must not be in yet. Only reason I can think of that my first order is still in progress
 
My gold max 256 has not gone to prepared for shipping. Has a watch in the same order.

Last but not least, anyone have any experience with activating a phone to a different line than what it was ordered on? My brother lives across the country so I would hate to get the phone, activate it and then find out I had cut out his service. I know I'll need to do a SIM card swap, but is a call to ATT before turning on phone my best bet?[/QUOTE]

Funny story...last year when I activated my X, I chatted with AT&T and specifically told them they MUST NOT interrupt service on the line the order was placed on as the person who has that line is 3 hours away from me. They assured me it would not be. Guess what? It was. Took two more phone calls and some inappropriate language to get it fixed about 18 hours later.

Yes WAY too early. It might not change till Thursday. It’s not uncommon for preorders for this to happen. I know because I’ve been doing it since iPhone 4

Btw it does say it will be delivered by Sept 21... So hopefully it’ll work. I’m worried because I had originally left AT&T and went to T-Mobile but I decided to come back through winback and everything went smooth. Well as soon as I came back to AT&T I made my preorder, so hopefully everything went through. I hope it doesn’t flag me for fraud.

Absolutely no need to worry. This is common.

This is why people needn’t worry. There are tons of people that ordered within minutes of preorder that don’t show prep to ship. Everyone’s getting their phones.

Was that Saturday morning or Friday morning, I ordered at 12:46 AM EST Saturday and nothing yet.
 
I checked my account this morning and my orders are not showing up. When I manually search for them by order number or through the order management portal they are there and still show 9/21 delivery date. First time that's ever happened.

You could contact a different rep and they may say a completely different date. The CS reps have now idea and are just guessing based on previous years. Going by last years thread and the tracking numbers we all received, a majority of phones actually shipped on 10/30 for a 11/3 delivery. A lot of devices will probably ship starting tomorrow but our accounts wont be updated to reflect it, and we wont have tracking info until around Wednesday or Thursday. Again, this is just based on the last few year's data and is just an educated guess on my part.
