When does everything think we can reasonably expect tracking numbers for those with preparing to ship? I've never gotten an iPhone on launch date, so curious what it's been like in previous years.

odds are it will ship from TX tomorrow via overnight FedEx. Most times I go with ATT with my preorder because they always get it to me on launch day... I was up and online at 2:45 am on the pre-order day with ATT and it let me order. I ordered two phones and a new watch before 3 am EST

Actually Apple.com did offer it, but it was hidden inside the other payment options. The 30 payment option. But either way you are getting the phone. If it helps, mine says "In Progress" when I go to the order but outside of the order (summary) it shows preparing to ship.

Mine say "In progress" on both screens. Also weirdly I am unable to check my order status using the automated phone number or *ORDR#. Just going to hold out for some logistical magic over the next two days.

Did you try using the Wireless Number when you do *6737#? Mine won't work with the order number but works with the wireless number.

Does anybody know how to link my att wireless account to my direct tv account so I can get a discount? Customer service is once again clueless.

I am pretty certain I did it via chat...but that's been a while back.

When I pre-ordered my 7 plus, I didn’t get tracking info until that Thursday around 2am.

LMBO thats what they said. I like to flirt with danger lol.... Plus with my AirPods and Apple Watch, I rarely pick up my phone throughout the day (maybe here and there). Mostly at home will I actively be on my phone
Hmm...you may be helping convince me to get my first Apple Watch. Do you really feel like you pick up the phone less since you have the watch? What do you mostly use it (the Watch) for?

I'll chime in and say in often like to tune my phone off so i got the watch so i could still get texts and calls without my phone being a distraction and honestly....fun idea but no. the watch is GREAT but fitness i would say is what it's most useful for (something i don't use it for)

BUT i will say using Apple maps....the watch vibrates before any turn is announced and that in itself is worth it i absolutely love that feature

The health and activity tracking features alone are best in class, but how well it integrates into the Apple ecosystem are what sets it apart. I love opening my MacBook and having the watch automatically unlock it. Or when someone calls me, I can see who it is on the watch and take the call there (or ignore/silence it, which also silences it on all my other devices). And with navigation, it gives you slight taps on your wrist when you need to make a turn, but they are different taps depending on if you need to turn right or left. It sends me notifications when someone (or something) triggers my camera motion sensor. Or I can open/close my garage door using hey Siri, right from the watch. All kinds of little interactions that are convenient, but not necessary, but they add up over time and honestly I feel like my left arm is missing if I don’t have my watch. I will say, if you do invest in the watch platform, splurge for the stainless steel version, as it’s frame and screen are much, much, much more resistant to daily wear and tear than the aluminum version. I’ve had my current watch for 2 years and it looks almost brand new. I plan to wait it out until the series 5 since I am upgrading my phone this year.

I got my tracking number Thursday morning at 4:37am - it was shipped via fedex and delivered the next day

Yeah I have used every number on my account for both the Wireless Number and Contact Number with no luck. I can access the order through my online account and have a few different ATT reps confirm my order info.

It really depends on your lifestyle. I have the cellular version and for me it really ties in the whole ecosystem. I thought I was good before I got the watch, but then I splurged and got one. It really integrates well... some have already beat me to the punch, but I love that when I wake up my Macbook, it automatically unlocks because of the watch.... I love the activity and health (i kinda get addicted to closing those rings lol)... I like that I can see who is calling and answer/ignore from the watch and take the call through the airpods (I had a coworker come up to me seeing my phone was ringing but by the time they reached me I was already talking to the person on the phone lol)... I answer text messages on it when it is relatively short (75% of my messages are short) and my phone isnt near me.... I work in a lab and instead of using a loud timer (because that beeping irritates me), I use the watch timer and when it is done, it taps me.... when navigating on apple maps, it taps when a turn or merge is coming up.... it gives me my notifications for my Instagram and work email, so I dont necessarily have to go to my iphone to see what is happening (i can see it and if it needs detailed attention, THEN i will get my phone).... and I love that I can start my car from the Watch! When I was living in nashville this summer, there was no greater godsend than to raise my wrist and tap my car to start and get that AC going so it isnt HELL when I open the door...... I like that it reminds me of events on my calendar at a tap of the wrist (like oh **** I gotta go to this meeting) which is another godsend if I am not looking at my phone (i have it on vibrate during the work day)...plus you know, I like knowing the time lol. I did get the stainless steel watch because it handles wear and tear waaaaaay better than the aluminum ones. My brother and I got our watches on the same day, he got aluminum and I got steel.... I know I punish my watch because it becomes a part of me and I forget it is there and I bump it against the edges of tables and walls ALL THE DAMN TIME lol.... but it looks MUCH better than his.

But like I said, for my lifestyle and how I use my phone anyway, it really integrated into my life well... also helps my phones battery life tremendously because Im not draining the energy powering the screen most the day like I used to.

I still wanna know why my order says shipping date and not delivery date. Why am I the only one

My watch says in progress. I ordered it about 1213 am pacific time. My phone I order at 1158pm and it says preparing to ship. My watch still says delivery by 21st even though it doesn’t say preparing to ship yet

Mines still preparing to ship! I’m sure they’ll all update all day, and people are going to panic until they get their phones tomorrow/Monday.
