Hmm...you may be helping convince me to get my first Apple Watch. Do you really feel like you pick up the phone less since you have the watch? What do you mostly use it (the Watch) for?
It really depends on your lifestyle. I have the cellular version and for me it really ties in the whole ecosystem. I thought I was good before I got the watch, but then I splurged and got one. It really integrates well... some have already beat me to the punch, but I love that when I wake up my Macbook, it automatically unlocks because of the watch.... I love the activity and health (i kinda get addicted to closing those rings lol)... I like that I can see who is calling and answer/ignore from the watch and take the call through the airpods (I had a coworker come up to me seeing my phone was ringing but by the time they reached me I was already talking to the person on the phone lol)... I answer text messages on it when it is relatively short (75% of my messages are short) and my phone isnt near me.... I work in a lab and instead of using a loud timer (because that beeping irritates me), I use the watch timer and when it is done, it taps me.... when navigating on apple maps, it taps when a turn or merge is coming up.... it gives me my notifications for my Instagram and work email, so I dont necessarily have to go to my iphone to see what is happening (i can see it and if it needs detailed attention, THEN i will get my phone).... and I love that I can start my car from the Watch! When I was living in nashville this summer, there was no greater godsend than to raise my wrist and tap my car to start and get that AC going so it isnt HELL when I open the door...... I like that it reminds me of events on my calendar at a tap of the wrist (like oh **** I gotta go to this meeting) which is another godsend if I am not looking at my phone (i have it on vibrate during the work day)...plus you know, I like knowing the time lol. I did get the stainless steel watch because it handles wear and tear waaaaaay better than the aluminum ones. My brother and I got our watches on the same day, he got aluminum and I got steel.... I know I punish my watch because it becomes a part of me and I forget it is there and I bump it against the edges of tables and walls ALL THE DAMN TIME lol.... but it looks MUCH better than his.
But like I said, for my lifestyle and how I use my phone anyway, it really integrated into my life well... also helps my phones battery life tremendously because Im not draining the energy powering the screen most the day like I used to.
