Woke up to a tracking email from FedEx and a text from AT&T! It’s in Memphis and is scheduled to be here (California) tomorrow by 8. I’ve never wanted to call in fake sick so bad!

Well I haven’t gotten “re-charged” the taxes and I received my tracking info. Initially when I pre-ordered I was charged the taxes 5 hrs later; however, 2 days ago those charges dropped from my credit card.
Saw preparing shipping
Checked my FedEx and I'm getting overnight for tomorrow

When I ordered it defaulted to putting the taxes on my next bill. Maybe they did that to yours?
Mine wasn't either, but I think thats just a what your new monthly amount will be, not included the extra tax from the phone.
Was your updated bill a lot more? I think they added a new line or something to mine because I technically have two phones or whatever, I don't know. But they added a "plan participant" and my bill is $60 more

AT&T website say preparing to ship BUT I received an email early this morning that it has shipped with FedEx tracking number. Must be a lot of people checking on their orders.

If the phone is in Newark it 100% could be delivered today. Like a commenter above said, looks like Apple is requesting the phones be held until tomorrow.

I know we don’t put much stock into what the AT&T reps say, but I did just chat with someone about my watch order. She said the warehouse hasn’t received them yet and that is why we haven’t seen status changes. So we may not be seeing our watches tomorrow.
I can pre-sign for UPS, but I can't do it for any FedEx packages I receive. The option is usually greyed out or not there..

Yea, I tried to hold it at the FedEx location, but it was saying "try again later." I was hoping picking it up there would be faster than waiting for it to be delivered.
FedEx delivery manager sent me an email at 4:57am with tracking and then at 6:29am I got the email from att telling me they shipped it out with tracking
Got shipping ! Was really hoping I would be able to give delivery instructions on Fed Ex Delivery manager to ship to a Fed Ex location close to my job for tomorrow. Really don't want my new phone just sitting on my doorstep at home.
Unless something has changed AT&T does not require a signature through FedEx on the iPhones. Up to the driver though, might not leave a box outside an Apartment door or if something feels sketchy. You can just leave a note for them to leave it if you're cool with that. Sign your name on the note. It's basically like signing a door tag.
Finally got my tracking info. First time getting one via FedEx. Now the 'waiting and hoping I don't miss the delivery' game begins.

Got movement on my phone! Watch changed from in progress to preparing to ship. I still have hope we’ll get both tomorrow. If they were delayed I don’t think it would have changed to preparing to ship.

I posted on how att screwed up my order and gave me every excuse in the book why it was me. they canceled and reordered. well today I got the shipping notification that it has shipped. so I guess when I get it I will cancel the order they placed after they canceled this one.
