No. Verizon iPhones only work on gsm networks outside of the US

Incorrect - Verizon iPhone 5 will work on any USA + International Carrier/Network it's not limited like 4S or Sprint 4S/5, however it will only get 4G-HSPA+ Data, No LTE, everything else will work.

4G-HSPA+ Is great to be honest.

restart your phone...should fix it..fixed for me...i had same issue or wait up to 24hours...i waited 24hrs then restarted iPhone and it was good

Tried again, nothing. Going to try in the morning again, but assuming it does not work, is there something i can do to make sure i get it? Or just kind of wait and it should eventually work itself out?

maybe restore your phone? I dont know thats just a guess....mine started working on its own after just waiting it out...I first used it like you, clicked on VM and it dialed out rather than being visual...but after some hours it just became VVM as i checked following day...

That is a incredible discount, If you didnt actually get a PIN, be careful because unlike MVNO's, AT&T will actually shut your account...as most of those sellers sell using Stolen Credit cards....I recommend you be careful.

I have also purchased from eBay many times while on straight talk and it never affected my service but once about 2 years ago I used to refill a AT&T GoPhone Prepaid account and within 2 days my balance was $0 and when I called AT&T they said "the credit card used had the payment reversed"

No 4glte

I just went and I bought the SIM card with the 60 plan from att on my iPhone 5 previously I had straight talk, but I can't get lte. I call att they made me some settings but still I don't get. They told me that they have problem in my area and they gonna call me when they gonna fix it.

interesting, I will be switching to Gophone when I finally upgrade to an LTE phone.. this is good to know. Haven't really read about this happening to GoPhoners on howardforums though.

How do I get this plan on callingmart?

There's several cards to choose from.

Ok I see the plan, but it's only 50.00

I don't see a way to choose the 60.00 plan

Open your settings app, go to 'general', scroll down to 'reset', and from here click 'reset your network settings'. Let it do its thing and visual voicemail should be working.

Att not support lte to gophone

Very strange, today I called att and they told me they not support lte to gophone. When I told them I read on the forum many persons received lte they told me that I have wrong informations.

Tell them to go to www.gophone.com next time and learn how to read....seriously how can carrier staff be so under knowledge? then again AT&T prolly doesn't want the staff to know so they can steer clear any customer from GoPhone and push the towards Post-Paid plans instead.

I gave my iPhone 4 to my brother in law nearly a year ago so he could signup for an "unlimited" prepaid plan with better voice coverage than he had at the time, along with data. He is driving a truck, and on the road most of the time.

At the time, he signed up with ST since many prepaid plans didn't seem to support roaming off the home network. He got the ATT SIM, though it had the limitation of MMS not working. (I tried the workaround once, and it worked for a few weeks, then something happened and the phone lost data too until he fixed that via wifi).

Looking at the GoPhone coverage map, I suspect that it doesn't support roaming. At least, a state that he currently drives through every month or 2 (Nebraska) doesn't show coverage in areas that are "partner" on the post paid plans. But ST apparently has roaming agreements in some of these areas, at least for voice/text. This, it would appear, makes the GoPhone not a good choice for him in spite of being able to gain MMS.

The TMobile SIM would give him MMS, and TMobile is changing their 3G support to better support older iPhones, but the coverage would probably still drop.

I ordered a sim, it should be here sometime later this week. If all goes well, I'll be portin my Tmo number over when I get some spare funds.

Ok, my expiration date is someday next week and I want to add $60 so I won't lose the service.

I'm checking callingmart and they have two AT&T GoPro refills..

"AT&T GoPhone Real Time Refill (RTR)"..

and

"AT&T GoPhone Prepaid Wireless Airtime Minutes Refill"

Which one do I need to buy?

Thanks

Activate the SIM by calling AT&T goPhone support and once thats complete you will have some time to refill your account, then go to callingmart.com and refill using the AT&T GoPhone Real Time Refill (RTR) $60.

In other news AT&T's Cheap brand called AIO (owned and operated by AT&T) is now allowing LTE access, although It says on their site the following:

4G HSPA+ Limited to 4Mbps
4G LTE Limited to 8Mbps
3G HSPA Limited to approx 1.7Mbps

I wonder if the limitations are really in place though or they just there to let users know that that is the minimum of what they can expect...

it does offer:
- Unlimited Talk, Text + MMS
- Visual Voicemail
- 2GB Data
- LTE Access
$55

$10 International Add-on = Unlimited International Texting+Calling to ~35 Countries.

vs

AT&T GoPhone:
- Unlimited Talk + Text + International Text
- Unlimited MMS
- Visual Voicemail
- 2GB Data
- LTE Access (Speeds as high as 30Mbps)
$60

$10 International Add-on = Unlimited International Calling to many countries

For Average user who doesn't text internationally AIO is not a bad option as it saves you $5 vs AT&T and AT&T GoPhone option is better if u want faster speeds? IMO GoPhone is better deal

Callingmart's $60 refill is about 57, and with a coupon I found googling it goes down to $54

Since AIO is a MVNO, they probably have more latency. I'll go with AT&T

Is there a way that I can buy the sim card from the AT&T website? Or would I have to go to the store to activate an unlocked iPhone 4s?

What nokia phones can work on this?

Can I unlock a lets say 920 and put on this plan? I would like to leave Sprint.

Any Smartphone that supports GSM...a 920 from AT&T will work, any smartphone basically from AT&T or T-Mobile will work.

No Smartphone from CDMA carriers will work - Some like Verizon Z10/Q10, Note II, S4 and iPhone 5 will work though only from Verizon (NO SPRINT or other CDMA Carrier devices will work because they come locked and are not unlockable for USA domestic use)
